OK, I’m not a “birther” and wanted to get that out-of-the-way really fast. I have seen the newspaper articles that announced the birth of baby Obama in Hawaii. However, after seeing this sign, I had to post this picture.

Guess the folks down in Kenya are the true “birthers” huh?

One year ago today, Obama, and the Democrats, passed a $787 billion $862 billion dollar stimulus plan. With the passing of his stimulus bill, Obama promised to keep unemployment below 8 percent and the creation (not saved or created) of 3.5 MILLION jobs.
Jump forward to today, February 17, 2010 and notice how Obama’s message has changed throughout the year? Unemployment hit a statistical 10.2 %, but actually unemployment is between 15 to 20 %.
Obama claims the stimulus “saved or created” 1.5 to 2 million jobs but it depends on which administration official you see on television. The numbers are ever-changing and can’t be verified, as claimed by any economist with a community college degree.
Hell, Obama can’t even keep the numbers the same on www.recovery.gov. Where are the 3.5 million jobs? Obama and Biden claim the stimulus is working and that the American people got their “money’s worth” but we have yet to see the benefit.

If you take the 2.4 million jobs that have been lost since the stimulus bill passed and add the promise of 3.5 million new jobs, Obama is in the hole by 5.9 million jobs. Looks like another promise Obama will fail to keep.
Great job Obama. I’m sure you will give yourself a solid B +!

Teacher Unions=Dumbing down our children
I am one of those people who detest Unions. The reason is because I know their history and the tactics they use to grow their membership in order to collect their dues. It’s all about union dues so the Union bosses and executives can live a comfortable life eating from the public trough provided by the taxpayers.
What do Union bosses think about us little taxpayers?
The NY Post reports:
Oops. An Albany cop-union boss just let the protect-and-serve mask slip.
Albany Police Officers Union President Chris Mesley says that, regardless of the faltering economy, a no-raise new contract is unacceptable.
And to hell with the public.
“I’m not running a popularity contest here,” Mesley said. “If I’m the bad guy to the average citizen . . . and their taxes have go up to cover my raise, I’m very sorry about that, but I have to look out for myself and my membership.”
Mesley added: ”As the president of the local, I will not accept ‘zeroes.’ If that means . . . ticking off some taxpayers, then so be it.”
This is the mindset of all Union bosses and members. It’s about getting what they can at the expense of the taxpayers. And it is just not leaders of police unions. This mentality is rampant in the Teacher’s Unions as well.
I wrote about a news item where the NAACP and the Teacher Unions are suing the New York City school system over the closing of 19 low performing schools. Their claim is that it will “hurt the community” but the truth is it would hurt their union dues. Closing down 19 failing schools would put a lot of teachers out of work.
The Unions claim that these closing will hurt minority students. What a joke. Keeping minority students in failing schools will hurt in the long run. Allowing these students to go to schools that have teachers that care and understand that education is the most important gift you can give a child is a benefit. I thought the NAACP was designed to benefit minority children, not hamper their education by subjecting them to sub-quality educational standards?
The unions do not care about educating children. They care about the pay, benefits and pensions the hard-working taxpayers provide. They do not care about these children who are stuck with lousy teachers in low performing schools. It’s all about the bottom line and greenbacks.

If you don't know history, you are destined to repeat it!
The Wall Street Journal has a great editorial that everyone should read. It details the failures of Liberal Governance and how the Democrats are stuck in a perpetual history reenactment. I want to point out a few things in the article that should catch your eyes.
The real source of this mess is the agenda that Democrats have tried to ram through the political system. Far from offering new ideas to reform the welfare state or compete better against rising global powers, Democrats have with rare exception tried to impose the same spending, tax and regulatory agenda that failed in the 1960s, 1970s and 1990s. Mr. Obama was a new face promising new hope, but his ideas are as old as the average Congressional Chairman.
To fix the economy, Democrats sent federal spending to peacetime heights in the name of replacing private investment with “public demand.” But instead of spurring recovery, this spending spree has retarded it by frightening the public and business about future tax increases and the rising burden of public debt. The new jobs Democrats promised still haven’t arrived, and while the recovery should finally produce job growth this year, Americans know they have received little for their $862 billion in “stimulus.”
The rest of Mr. Obama’s liberal agenda has foundered on its own overreaching implausibility. To fight the speculative threat of global warming, Democrats have tried to impose vast new taxes to raise energy prices. To address rising health-care costs, they proposed huge new health subsidies and political control of medical decisions. Medicare is heading toward bankruptcy, yet Mr. Obama’s response is to make the entire health-care system like Medicare. And to fix the financial system, they have declared war on bankers while proposing reforms that would do little to prevent future bank bailouts.
The central contradiction in modern liberal politics is that Otto von Bismarck’s entitlement state for cradle to grave financial security is no longer affordable. The model has reached the limit of its ability to tax private income and still allow enough economic growth to finance its transfer payments.
That pretty much sums it up about Liberal governance. Go ahead and read the entire article. Educate yourself folks and learn the history of liberals/progressives. They are a nutty bunch.

The new Party symbol for Democrats
John Kerry was made a political laughing stock for proclaiming he was for it before he was against it…or something like that. Democrats are flip-floppers just like Kerry and their leader, Obama, is worse. To prove that they are serious about deficit spending, Democrats passed the Pay-go law that forces them to pay for their spending by cutting the budget or raising taxes. Except now the Democrats want to bypass their own law for Obama’s latest jobs creation scheme.
The Hill reports:
The ink is barely dry on the pay-as-you-go law, and Democrats are seeking to bypass it to enact parts of their job-creation agenda.
Democratic leaders said extensions of unemployment insurance and COBRA healthcare benefits should be emergency spending that isn’t subject to the pay-as-you-go statute, which requires new non-discretionary spending to be offset with spending cuts or tax increases.
With current extensions of unemployment and COBRA benefits set to expire at the end of the month and the jobless rate still near 10 percent, Democratic lawmakers want to pass the extensions quickly, without having to find offsets for the costs.
This year, facing record deficits and a debt that has exceeded $12 trillion, Democrats touted the new pay-go requirements as a necessary step to get spending under wraps. President Barack Obama signed the pay-go bill into law on Feb. 12 and Democrats are ready to waive those requirements to help get the economy going.
Flip-flopping liars! Democrats want more spending and more liberal entitlement programs to keep their voters happy. Then they attempt to link this spending to job creation and getting the economy going. Hello…these idiots passed a $862 billion dollar stimulus package that promised to create jobs and “jolt” the economy. It failed since unemployment hit 10.2 percent and we actually lost 4 million + jobs.
Now these record-setting spenders want to bypass their own law to spend more? Give me a break. The taxpayers are sick and tired of all this spending. We are forced to tighten our belts while the Democrats spend trillions. Like Obama, Democrats say one thing and do the exact opposite.

Snidely Whiplash
I love the phrase “compassionate conservatism.” I love it so much I even bought into it. What a fool I was, but no more. Allow me to explain.
For the record “compassionate conservatism” is a concept whereby conservatives prove how nice and touchy-feely we are by acting like progressives. We spend money on social programs as if we were progressives. We run up deficits that should not be done. Props to Clinton that he balanced the budget, but if anyone had an honest bone in them they would admit it was because the Republican Congress made him do it, but at least he did it, so props to President Clinton.
When Bush spent like a liberal he was trying to appease them and work with them. So, how’d that work out? Bush did “No Child Left Behind” and all he got was ridicule for it. Bush spent more on African AIDS then all previous president’s combined. Did he get any credit for it, other then Bob Geldof at least fessin’ up that Bush put his money where his mouth was?
How’s about Bush spending $550 Billion on the Prescription Drug Program? That was him appealing to progressive wants, yet now all we hear is what a Bush fiasco it was and how much money was spent trying to appease these clowns. Say what? Mostly all Bush got was defamation from the left no matter how hard he tried to appease them. So, did the appeasement work out?
Just like Europe trying to appease Hitler in the 1930′s, all it bought was a tiny bit of time, but the results were far worse then if they would have stood up for their beliefs to begin with. Enemies, and yes, the political opposition does indeed feel conservatism is their enemy, only takes any effort to appease them as one of supreme weakness. They will allow us to appeal to them, but as we have seen, it never works out or heals the rifts, now does it?

Item #1- College acquaintance: Young Obama was “pure Marxist Socialist. This isn’t really news since Obama admitted in his book that he sought out marxist professors. Maybe this is why Obama sealed his education records?
Item #2- Showing Obama how it’s done: New NJ governor shows Obama how to be a real fiscal conservative. Cuts spending.
Item #3- Obama’s retarded, hair-plugged sheriff, Joe Biden, went to Michigan and had the balls to tell the citizens that the stimulus was working. The libtard made these comments despite the fact that unemployment is at 14 % in the state.
Item #4- More Homeless Americans living in Cars and Campers. Thank you Obama. What happened to all that hope and change…or how you were going to force banks to lend more money to stop foreclosures. Guess these people haven’t found one of those “saved or created” jobs yet.
Item #5- Bayh: Congress has created no jobs. What? I thought Obama “saved or created” millions?
