Is this really a concern of the American taxpayer? Does anyone really care that criminals are getting ass-raped in prison? Can’t Eric Holder find something else to investigate…say for instance the White House job bribes…or ACORN…or The Black Panthers Party?
The Washington Post reports:
“RAPE IS VIOLENT, destructive, and a crime — no less so when the victim is incarcerated.” These were the opening words of a report delivered to Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. last June by the National Prison Rape Elimination Commission. By law, the attorney general was given one year to consider the report’s recommendations and issue standards to reduce the scourge of sexual violence in the nation’s prisons. The Justice Department is about to miss its June 23 deadline — and probably by a shamefully wide margin.
The department will not say, but those following this issue closely estimate that the Justice Department is unlikely to take action until the end of this year. At that time, federal prisons will be obligated to adopt whatever standards Justice approves. State and local facilities will not be forced to embrace the measures for another year after that. In the meantime, more prisoners — including juveniles — will have been senselessly brutalized.
Are you fucking kidding me. We have a commission on Ass-Rape? Tax money well spent…don’t you think?
Instead of investigating serious criminal activities by his boss, Holder wants to protect criminals from having their rights violated. Who honestly cares about criminals being ass-raped in prison? Many of these outstanding citizens are in prison for this very crime. As the saying goes “If you can’t pay the time, don’t commit the crime.”
What’s next? Will Holder’s investigation discover that vaseline should be mandatory before ass-rape begins? How much will this investigation cost the American taxpayers? Wonder if Obama will call this a ‘stimulus?’

He’s just trying to take the focus off the way his boss ass-rapes the people of this nation. Was there ever any doubt?
LOL Jacqueline…sad truth but funny

If you ever get wrongfully imprisoned, as thousands of people do, I guess you’re just going to have to take the raping. I mean, why should we care that another human being is trapped in a cage, unable to escape from this devastating and dehumanizing treatment?
My tax dollars aren’t going to help you. Put up with it or kill yourself, I don’t care either way. Don’t you agree?
First, don’t put yourself in a position to be “wrongfully imprisoned.” Second, if you do the crime, this is a side effect of your criminal life. More than likely, these “wrongfully imprisoned” individuals, violated another human being’s rights and took something from them. Bleeding heart liberals and their pro-criminal stance is pathetic. The majority of Americans do not care what happens inside prison and do not want their tax dollars wasted on the criminal elements in society.
Since I’m a law-abiding taxpayers, I could care less about convicts raping other convicts. I do agree with you last statement. If someone commits a crime and has to serve the time, they can take their ass rape or kill themselves. Just don’t ask us to pay for it.
You state above the following: “Bleeding heart liberals and their pro-criminal stance is pathetic.” You really should do a bit more homework. Organizations representing extremes of the political spectrum and everything in the middle are allied on this issue. In a country that has 5% of the world’s population and 25% of the world’s prisoners, you should realize that with such an indiscriminate system, anyone, including you, could quickly find yourself a victim of repeated sexual assualt behind bars, just because you were in the wrong place at the right time. In fact, I hope you will be as that is clearly the only way you will learn to be a human being of whatever political view. As an example of a “bleeding heart liberal” organization that is fighting prisoner rape, I give you this: Prison Fellowship, headed by Pat Nolan. Here are some bleeding heart conservatives who are outraged by attitudes like yours: http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2010/August/Left-and-Right-Unite-to-Fight-Prison-Rape/
The majority of Americans do not care what happens behind prison bars. Most of the crimininals violated or took away someone else’s civil rights and as the saying goes: If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime. You see, I’m a law-abiding citizen, like the majority of Americans, and I won’t be ‘in the wrong place at the wrong time.’ Only criminals constantly put themselves in these situation with their criminal behavior. I can tell your another bleeding heart liberal who would love to make criminals out to be victims. I guess we should just let all the law-breaking criminals roam the streets to continue to be parasites on society. Would that make your bleeding heart feel better? Thanks for providing the link and I’m glad there are a few pro-criminal conservatives out there. However, I am not one of them and I could care less what happens to a criminal that violates other individuals rights.
Don’t put yourself in that position? Obviously no one intentionally puts them self in a position to be wrongfully convicted of a crime they never committed, and many people are convicted based on nothing but the testimony of a female in faulty rape cases. Police “guide” people into confessions through forceful interrogations far too often for anyone to be comfortable with, often simply because they realize that catching the real suspect is unlikely and they want to close a case.
None of what I’m writing is going to affect you, of course. I can see now that you’re just looking for attention. Trying to be as stereotypically conservative as possible isn’t cool, and at your age I would think that you’d have better things to do than role-play. If you aren’t making millions like Glenn Beck, then there really isn’t any reason.
Hopefully someone else will read this and realize that not every prisoner is a criminal, and even if they are, there aren’t many crimes you can commit that justify rape being one of the punishments. Considering that we live in America, you would think that rape wouldn’t be a punishment under any circumstance, justified or not, because we’re supposed to be above such barbaric and archaic methods.
Millions of people put themselves in positions to be arrested or we wouldn’t have about 1.2 million folks in prisons. Just a simple fact.
Having worked in the law enforcement area for over a decade, everyone who goes into the court systems is innocent. Everyone behind bars proclaims their innocent even when there is overwhelming evidence that says different. Just a simple fact. Here in America, you are judged by 12 of your peers. If the evidence proves you’re guilty, prison is your punishment.
Am I talking to Barack Obama? Now the police are the bad guys and the bad guys are really good huh? Nice try but the statistics defeat your ideology.
Yes I am the typical conservative. 42% of Americans identify themselves as conservatives. Most of the folks behind bars tend to be those who are typically liberal with their lifestyles and with obeying the law. That’s why Democrats go after their vote and try to protect these types of individuals. Simple fact.
I don’t know anything about you “Colin” because you’re the typical internet troll who loves to express himself/herself while being anonymous. Personally attacking me and labeling me has no effect because I’m not an apologetic type who backs down from the liberal bullshit that you express with your pr0-criminal stance.
Then when you can defend your position, you resort to Glenn Beck. What’s next? Fox News?
By the way, rape doesn’t only happen in the US. There are a lot of those criminals, which you tend to love, who have raped little girls/boys & women/men.
We have idiots, such as yourself, who believes prisons should be happy/sunny places. As I’ve said above…if you do commit a crime and end up with like-minded criminals, it was your choice. We are a free society and sometimes criminals have to suffer the consequences of their CHOICE.
But of course, we all know they all are innocent individuals who were set up by cops.
Remember, the punishment is that you are not free anymore for a period of time, not getting raped etc.
Those people still have rights, otherwise “we” are not better than any other regime (like China etc.).
With the same argumentation, it would be okay if prisoners kill each other without further punishment since we dont give a shit anyway.
Also not everyone did a heavy crime when in prison, maybe some were driving car with alcohol or not paying taxes.
The life in prison shouldnt be that bad as it is, otherwise people are worse after leaving prison than before. Our goal should be that people wont do a crime again after leaving the prison.
Maybe they shouldn’t have commited a crime to begin with. Generally, criminals took away the rights of someone else and they are imprisoned with like-minded individuals. Rapists, murderers and child molesters deserve what punishment they receive, so be it at the hands of their like-minded prison inmates. The difference between China and the US is Chinese officials are the ones doing unspeakable things to prisoners. Here, prisoners are doing it.
What you are suggesting is a bleeding heart liberal position where the inmates are victims and should enjoy their time locked-away from the law-abiding society at large. Those who go into prison have a high rate of return after release from prison. Criminals rarely change despite what is depicted by Hollywood.
