The hypocrisy continues. Members of the Congressional Black Caucus attempted to place the racism label upon the Tea Party by claiming they were spit upon and called the “N” word. Despite all the video cameras and recording devices, the members of the CBC (John Lewis) cannot prove their claims.
Much like the NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus should worry about matters inside its own house before throwing stones at the Tea Party. What is it called when you discriminate against someone based strictly on skin color. This is what the CBC did when a white Democrat attempted to join their race-based group.
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) arrived on Capitol Hill three years ago ready to join the Congressional Black Caucus. His logic was simple: More than 60 percent of the people in his Memphis-based congressional district are black.
So was the caucus‘s logic in its reply: The organization is reserved for black members of Congress, and Cohen is white.
The caucus still has not opened its weekly meetings to Cohen, but he has found a different kind of welcome from the group: their endorsements.
And liberals claim to be all about tolerance and diversity. Imagine if the shoe was on the other foot and all the white members of Congress joined together in a group that is based strictly on race and is only for white members. They would discuss political issues that only affect white people and refuse to let others join because of the color of their skin.
You would have Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the NAACP, the ACLU and every other hypocrite marching, protesting, boycotting and yelling racism. But since this issue involves black members of Congress, not a peep. Racism is racism and does not only apply to one group of people, as some think.
These Democrats are obsessed with race and when confronted about their ideology, they yell racism. The truth is coming out slowly but if you need proof just look at the history of the Democratic Party and Progressives.
Here’s a quote from CBC Democrat John Lewis about Democrat Steve Cohen:
“He’s a wonderful member, he’s a solid and good Democratic vote,” said Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), the civil rights hero, who is for Cohen. “That district had a black representative, they had a father and later a son. And the voting record of Steve Cohen is just as good as any African American member.”
Cohen also represents the whites, Asian and Hispanics in his district. Lewis forgets that when somone is elected, you just don’t only represent your race, you represent the people as a whole. Typical Democrat.
John Lewis should throw his stone at the mirror he stands in front of.
