Postal Service Inspector General: Postal Worker used credit cards to pay for flights to Italy and for ‘Adult Entertainment’

Remember that stupid Post Office analogy Obama used during the health care debates? Now we see why the Post Office (government) is bankrupt and why Fed Ex and UPS (free market) are still making a profit. Their employees aren’t using credit cards to pay for family members to fly all over the world, nor are they spending money on ‘adult entertainment.’

The Washington Post reports:

If the cash-strapped U.S. Postal Service wants to save money it should ensure that its workers aren’t booking pricey hotel rooms and airplane tickets or buying pornography, according to a new watchdog report.

Over a two-year period, some postal workers used credit cards meant for travel and lodging expenses to buy family members flights to Spain and Italy, purchase Apple computers and make more than 50 purchases at “adult entertainment” stores.

The findings, detailed in a Postal Service Inspector General report, also reveal that USPS didn’t cancel 2,491 credit cards issued to former employees, including 53 who were listed as deceased. Two former employees were still using their cards after they left, according to the report.

All told, the mail agency could have saved more than $600,000 in excessive travel costs during fiscal 2009 and 2010 if it had cracked down on non-compliant workers, the report said.

Despite the fraud, the Postal Service cut its travel budget by 17 percent in fiscal 2010 to $94.8 million.

USPS employs 583,000 workers and funds itself through the sale of postal products and services instead of taxpayer dollars. It plans on cutting about $2 billion in costs this year — mostly by eliminating 40 million work hours — but still forecasts a $7 billion loss after losing a record $8.5 billion in fiscal 2010. It warned again this week that it will likely run out of money by the end of the fiscal year after exceeding its borrowing limit with the U.S. Treasury.

Yes, the analogy is still stupid. As with anything the government touches, it is sure to end up costing more and going bankrupt.

Obama says “The People of Egypt have spoken” so why doesn’t he listen to Americans who spoke during the November elections?

Obama hails the transfer of power in Egypt as a historical day and claims ”the people of Egypt have spoken.” Why doesn’t Obama listen to the American people who spoke loudly during the November elections? Where is his speech about the great democracy here in America when Americans speak out against an overreaching government?

The Hill reports:

President Obama on Friday hailed the resignation of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak as a moment for history, but warned of “difficult days ahead.”

“There are few moments in our lives where we have the privilege to witness history taking place,” Obama said. “This is one of those moments. This is one of those times.

“The people of Egypt have spoken, their voices have been heard and Egypt will never be the same.”

One must ask, when will Obama show the American people the same respect? The voters spoke loudly in November. They screamed for Obama to stop his out-of-control spending and to end his lust to control the health care industry. Where is this respect for the American voices?

The Americans have shouted loudly for months, yet the Obama regime continues to attack, slander and lie. The majority shouted to keep government out of our health care system. Where is Obama’s speech about hearing these voices and where is his speech telling Americans he hears them? When will Obama give up his lust to control more industries through regulations and in the name of crisis?

Maybe a few million Americans marching on Washington, D.C. would get his attention. It’s time for us Americans to pull together and stand together against our own oppressive government. Our voices are more important than those voices in Egypt, yet Obama continues to be a narcissist and continues to turn those big ears away from the American voices.

It’s time to hold our elected officials responsible and force them out when they refuse to listen. If a million Egyptians can do it, so can the voices of Americans.

House Democrats Demand Clarence Thomas Recuse Himself on Obamacare Case

Could Congressman Anthony Weiner, Democrat, NY, have a more apropos name than Weiner? I guess Weasel would work too. From now on he’s Congressman Weasel Weiner, Democrat, NY, to me. In what can hardly be characterized as little else, Weasel Weiner is sponsoring a move by 74 House Democrats to demand Clarence Thomas recuse himself from hearing any SCOTUS Obamacare review because he needs to be sure to “maintain the integrity of this Court.”

Apparently the Weasel bases his demands on the fact Justice Thomas’ wife Ginny worked for the Heritage Foundation, and as it was stated she “has experience and connections” with clients who’d like to overturn Obamacare.

I can’t say I’m overly shocked by this. When it comes to levels to which some petulant lefties will stoop we know there is no such thing as “bottom.” A snake’s belly isn’t even close to how low some of these clowns can and will go. Sub-basements only whet their appetite for going lower. The Fuhrer Bunker wasn’t low enough for them. Methinks the natural end to their seeking bottom will be Hell, and that’s fitting cause one can hardly go lower.

I wonder if all that stooping hurts their backs? It is said in many quarters this effort by Weasel Weiner, Whining Desperate Democrat, NY, is in retaliation for Republican’s supposedly calling for Kagan to recuse herself because she was US solicitor general during the healthcare shoving down our throats.

Seriously? CIA Chief got his intel from media reports

This is the results of putting someone in place who has no experience in law enforcement or intelligence gathering. Obama appointed Leon Panetta to run the C.I.A. based on the fact that he use to sit-in and listen to national security briefings as Clinton’s Chief of Staff. This is what happens when you elect someone with no experience who then appoints another individual with no experience to run an intelligence agency.

Leon Panetta testified before Congress and based his intelligence, about the happenings in Egypt, on media reports. Yes, the man who has the full power of the Central Intelligence Agency, used the media as his intelligence gathering source. It is no wonder that the Obama regime looked like fools with their constant flip-flopping stance on what was happening in Egypt.

President Obama should immediately fire every crony he has appointed to his national security team. James Clapper, Janet Napolitano, John Brennan, Eric Holder and Leon Panetta have been absolute failures and their inexperience and ineptitude is making the U.S. less safe.

Look at the results these dolts have produced. James Clapper, Obama’s National Intelligence Director, didn’t have a clue about the Christmas terror plots in England nor did he know about the terrorist plots aimed at the U.S. He had to be reminded, on national television, about the plot. Later, Janet Napolitano said Clapper did not need to know about the plots. Clapper is just the guy who speaks to President Obama every morning about intelligence findings and what threats the U.S. faces.

Clapper is the same idiot who claimed the Muslim Brotherhood is “largely secular” as he testified before Congress. Again, Clapper failed to look at intelligence gathered on the Muslim Brotherhood and ignore their motto: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” One could gather this intelligence by doing a simple Google search or checking out the Muslim Brotherhood’s website.

Janet Napolitan said the “system worked” after a Muslim, whose name was on a terrorist watch-list, made it on an airplane and attempted to blow up it up with his underwear bomb. This is the same idiot who continues to say the U.S./Mexico border is as safe as its ever been and turns around to claim we can’t secure the entire border. Just ignore the violence, and the illegal immigrants sneaking across the border, and Napolitano is right.

She also said her department was working hard, 364 days a year, to protect the country. Yes, this is the idiot in control of Homeland Security.

John Brennan called Jerusalem by its Arabic name “Al-Quds,” insulting Israel. This regime has a history of putting their thumb in the eyes of our friends while appeasing the enemy. Brennan is the same idiot who claimed that those who criticized Obama’s national security policies serve the goals of al-Qaeda.” This was in response to a USAToday article that criticized the administration for giving Miranda rights to a terrorist before allowing a high-value interrogation team the chance to ask questions.

Obama appointed Brennan to ‘review the failures‘ that almost caused the death of 300 individuals when the terrorist’s underwear didn’t ignite. Brennan is the same guy who created the watch-list that the Hillary-led State Department failed to check. Ignorance begets ignorance.

Then we come to Attorney General Eric Holder. This is the idiot who wants to close down Guantanamo Bay and bring the terrorists to U.S. soil to stand trial in civilian court. As a matter of fact, Obama wants to do this exact thing by going around Congress.

Holder even said he didn’t worry about homegrown terrorists two years ago. He must have forgotten that in the past two years there have been 126 people indicted on terrorism related charges and 50 of those were homegrown. I recall Holder being the one who pushed through President Clinton’s pardon of 16 members of FALN, a Puerto Rican terrorist group that carried out 120 bombings in the U.S. It also should be noted that Holder’s former law firm is giving pro-bono legal representation to Gitmo detainees.

These are the idiots Obama appointed to handle our national security. Doesn’t this information make you feel very safe knowing the incompetent idiots are in control of our safety? We, the people, need to hold Obama accountable and demand this cronies to be fired.

ObamaCare’s high-risk pools have been a complete failure and the numbers prove this

As usual, anything Obama puts forth as policy always ends up have the same pattern of failure. The pattern continues with ObamaCare’s high risk pools. Enrollment into these high-risk pools are extremely less than the administration predicted and more costly. Remember folks, Obama’s new law only covers $5 billion for these high-risk pools and the states are forced to cover the rest. The higher costs and unfunded mandate are the reasons for low enrollment. 

It’s the Obama status-quo. Claim this is being done to stop a crisis then watch as the numbers don’t add up. This is the pattern of every policy Obama has put forth.

The Washington Post reports:

More Americans have been signing up for special health plans designed for people with medical problems that caused them to be spurned by the insurance industry, according to new government figures. But enrollment continues to lag significantly behind original predictions.

The number of people who have bought the plans, known as high-risk pools, has increased from slightly fewer than 8,000 nationwide as of early November to nearly 12,500 as of the beginning of this month, according to figures released Thursday by federal health officials.

4,000 joined and WaPo wants the readers to believe this is a sign of success.

Several months ago, the special insurance pools became one of the earliest facets of the new health-care law to take effect. They are intended as a temporary coping mechanism for people with medical conditions that traditional insurance companies do not want to cover. The program is temporary, because, starting in 2014, the law will forbid insurers to reject customers based on whether they are healthy or sick.

Remember, this is not about government takeover of our health care.

Last spring, the Medicaid program’s chief actuary forecast that 375,000 Americans would have joined new high-risk pools by the end of 2010.

So the Washington Post wants its readers to believe more people are signing up for these high-risk pools with an increase of 4,000 individuals. Remember, 375,000 is way more than 12,500. This is how the liberal media spins things for the Obama regime. The pattern continues.

Former DOJ lawyer J. Christian Adams, now a whistleblower, reveals new liberal bias at Eric Holder’s Justice Department. Recall Adams was the one who alerted the public about how the Holder DOJ dealt with the Philadelphia New Black Panther Party and their alleged voter intimidation in the 2008 election.

Now Adams alleges a new example of exceptional bias at Holder’s DOJ with his claim that the DOJ often ignores or delays FOI requests from more conservative entities, but liberal entities get immediate service. Adams offers the following:

“The documents show a pattern of politicized compliance within the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division. In particular, I have obtained FOIA logs that demonstrate as of August 2010, the most transparent administration in history is anything but. The logs provide the index number of the information request, the date of the request, the requestor, and the date of compliance.

For example, Republican election attorney Chris Ashby of LeClair Ryan made a request for the records of five submissions made under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. Ashby waited nearly eight months for a response. Afterwards, Susan Somach of the “Georgia Coalition for the Peoples’ Agenda,” a group headed by Rev. Joseph Lowery, made requests for 23 of the same type of records. While Ashby waited many months for five records, Somach waited only 20 days for 23 records. Under the Obama DOJ, FOIA requests from conservative media never obtained any response from the Civil Rights Division, while National Public Radio obtained a response in five days.

In 2006, Charlie Savage, then at the not-yet-insolvent Boston Globe, requested all of the resumes of the recently hired attorneys in the Bush Civil Rights Division — including mine. DOJ leadership was convinced rushing out the resumes of dozens of lawyers far before the deadline was a good thing. …

CBO Admits ObamaCare is a Job-Killing Bill

Every passing day, new information comes out and exposes the truth about ObamaCare. 800,000 jobs lost isn’t nothing compared to the 8 million that have been lost since 2007, when Democrats seized control.

Some of us already knew the truth. The CBO is at fault for not telling the truth a year ago. The Democrats gave the false number and the CBO used those numbers. Garbage in, garbage out. Look at what we’ve learned since the bill was passed:
