The ‘Sheriff’ is leaving town…Biden to skip deficit talks to travel to Rome to celebrate Unification of Italy
Posted in Political Issues, tagged deficits, Italy, Joe Biden, national debt, Rome, unification, Vice President Joe Biden on May 31, 2011 | Leave a Comment »
Who cares about Obama almost doubling the national debt? Obviously nobody at the White House or anyone with a (D) behind their name.
Keith Koffler reports, via WhiteHouseDossier.com:
Vice President Biden is being touted as the White House point man on the budget, leading the discussions with Congress as our nation’s leaders try to come up with a plan to slash the deficit and avoid defaulting on the debt.
Just today, Biden was the subject of a glowing profile in USA Today describing his unique qualifications for honchoing the negotiations.
It’s a tall order — just the sort of task Biden, 68, has taken on for a president who chose him largely for his foreign policy credentials. In the 28 months Obama and Biden have served together, the vice president’s role has grown to include many of the thorniest issues on the president’s plate.
With the House back in town following the Memorial Day recess, bargainers are set to stream back to the table, roll up their sleeves, and start hashing through the numbers. Biden will be leading the charge.
Wait a second. No he won’t. It’s back to foreign policy for the vice president. This just in from the White House:
Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden have departed en route Rome, Italy, to lead the Presidential Delegation to the Celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy on Thursday, June 2.
Number of Federally-owned Limousine up 73% under Obama
Posted in Political Issues, tagged limousine, limousine liberals, President Obama on May 31, 2011 | 2 Comments »
Giving a whole new meaning limousine liberals. Brought to the taxpayers by Mmm, Mmm, Mmm Barack Hussein Obama.
iWatchNews.org reports:
Limousines, the very symbol of wealth and excess, are usually the domain of corporate executives and the rich. But the number of limos owned by Uncle Sam increased by 73 percent during the first two years of the Obama administration, according to an analysis of records by iWatch News.
Most of the increase was recorded in Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
Government goons getting to ride in style and giving the taxpayers the bill. What happened to Obama’s comment that everyone has to have skin in the game. Stop spending money on limos.
Obama administration officials said most of the increase reflects an enhanced effort to protect diplomats and other government officials in a dangerous world. But a watchdog group says the abundance of limos sends the wrong message in the midst of a budget crisis. The increase in limos comes to light on the heels of an executive order from President Obama last week that charges agencies to increase the fuel efficiency of their fleets.
As we have come to learn, anything Obama says has an expiration date.
According to General Services Administration data , the number of limousines in the federal fleet increased from 238 in fiscal 2008, the last year of the George W. Bush administration, to 412 in 2010. Much of the 73 percent increase—111 of the 174 additional limos—took place in fiscal 2009, more than eight months of which corresponded with Obama’s first year in office. However, some of those purchases could reflect requests made by the Bush administration during an appropriations process that would have begun in the spring of 2008.
From 2007, Democrats have controlled government spending. Have to point that out because many on the left are void of civics.
The Obama Regime’s favorite news outlet, Al-Jazeera, shows video footage of Western troops on the ground in Libya

Whatever you do, just don’t call it a war. This would force Obama to wait for congressional approval and we know how Obama refuses to ask Congress for their approval as required by the U.S. Constitution.
From The Daily Caller:
Armed western men have been filmed on the ground with rebels in central Libya in the first apparent confirmation that Nato has sent military advisers to train anti-government forces.
A group of six westerners were clearly visible, according to a report by al-Jazeera from Dafniya, described as the westernmost point of the rebel lines west of the town of Misrata. Five of them were armed and wearing sand-coloured clothes, peaked caps, and cotton Arab scarves.
The sixth, apparently the most senior of the group, was carrying no visible weapon and wore a pink, short-sleeve shirt. He may be an intelligence officer. The group is seen talking to rebels and then quickly leaving on being spotted by the television crew.
Remember, Obama said this operation would last days, not weeks.
Tax Payer Alert: GM Dealerships are keeping $7500 Tax Credit for Chevy Volts for Themselves
Posted in Political Issues, tagged Chevy Volt, electic car, General Motors, Government Motors, President Obama, tax rebate on May 31, 2011 | Leave a Comment »
General Government Motors continues to take the taxpayers for a ride. Not only were they bailed out by their union-loving buddy, Barack Obama, GM is now double-dipping by keeping the taxpayer-backed $7500 rebate intended to trick Americans into buying the pile-of-junk Chevy Volt.
All in the name of green socialism!
NLPC.org reports:
Automobilemag.com reports that General Motors has responded to my report questioning whether dealerships are gaming Chevy Volt tax credits. Chevy Volt spokesperson, Rob Peterson, states that “NLPC is confused.” He then goes on to confirm that the dealerships purchasing Chevy Volts and reselling them as used vehicles are entitled to the $7,500 tax credit. Clearly, it is GM that is confused, considering that this was the main point of my report.
GM does not deny that Chevy dealerships are selling Chevy Volts to other dealerships, including a KIA dealership, for resale. At the same time, Peterson also touts the high demand for Volts claiming, “we don’t sell Volts at the moment – it’s almost like we deliver them.” By this statement, you wouldn’t know that sales for the Volt averaged a dismally low 425 per month for the first four months of the year. GM recently stated that they had the capacity to build at a pace of 17,000 per year. So, here’s a question for GM and Mr. Peterson: If demand is so high for the Chevy Volt, why would a Chevy dealership sell the vehicle to other dealerships, particularly when there are supposedly customers lined up to pay full price? The answer seems clear to me. GM is exaggerating the “high demand” for the Volt. And allowing dealerships to take the tax credit intended for consumers is just wrong.
That’s okay. Obama is forcing the taxpayers to buy 101 Chevy Volts to add to the federal fleet.
Peterson also claims that no issues exist with dealerships taking the tax subsidies as long as they are honest with customers. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee of that being the case. Many customers who buy Chevy Volts may feel that they are entitled to the tax credit, especially if they are paying near MSRP and the vehicles have such low mileage. The IRS form in its current form does not safeguard against double claiming of the tax credit.
Awesome. The government is stealing our money…twice. Brought to you by Barack Hussein Obama…the man who promised to cut government waste and fraud in order to save the taxpayers money.
Recovery? Double-Dip in Housing
Posted in Political Issues, tagged double-dip, economy, foreclosures, home sales, housing, housing market, President Obama on May 31, 2011 | Leave a Comment »
It’s okay folks. Obama says we are on the right path and his policies are the reason for this success.
CNBC.com reports:
U.S. single-family home prices dropped in March, dipping below their 2009 low, as the housing market remained bogged down by inventory and weak demand, a closely watched survey said Tuesday.
The S&P/Case Shiller composite index of 20 metropolitan areas declined 0.2 percent in March from February on a seasonally adjusted basis, in line with economists’ expectations.
The price index was below the low seen in April 2009 during the financial crisis. The glut of houses for sale, foreclosures, tight credit and weak demand have kept the housing market on the ropes even as other areas of the economy start to recover.
The 20-city composite index was at 138.16, falling below the 2009 low of 139.26.
“This month’s report is marked by the confirmation of a double-dip in home prices across much of the nation,” David Blitzer, chairman of the index committee at S&P Indices, said in a statement. “Home prices continue on their downward spiral with no relief in sight.”
Instead of stopping Obama from spending, Congress is looking to cut Food Stamp program
Posted in Political Issues, tagged Food Stamps, President Obama, SNAP on May 31, 2011 | Leave a Comment »
Maybe if Obama stopped spending money we don’t have, the Food Stamp program won’t have to be cut. Will Food Stamp recipients, mostly Obama voters, demand an end to Obama’s historic spending spree?
I thought people in the mainstream media claimed talking about Obama and food stamps was racist?
From ABCNews.com:
ABC News’ Huma Khan reports: Congress is under pressure to cut the rapidly rising costs of the federal government’s food stamps program at a time when a record number of Americans are relying on it.
The House Appropriations Committee today will review the fiscal year 2012 appropriations bill for the Department of Agriculture that includes $71 billion for the agency’s “Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.” That’s $2 billion less than what President Obama requested but a 9 percent increase from 2011, which, critics say, is too large given the sizeable budget deficit.
This is that great Obama ‘recovery.’ More people on food stamps…more bankruptcies…more foreclosures. This ‘hope and change’ is more like another Great Depression.
A record number of Americans – about 14 percent – now rely on the federal government’s food stamps program and its rapid expansion in recent years has become a politically explosive topic.
How can this be? The Democrats tell us that they have saved or created millions of jobs and the recession has ended thanks to them. How can there be more people on food stamps in this great economy.
More than 44.5 million Americans received SNAP benefits in March, an 11 percent increase from one year ago and nearly 61 percent higher than the same time four years ago.
Nearly 21 million households are reliant on food stamps.
…The cost of the food stamps program has increased rapidly since it was established by Congress in 1964.
It cost taxpayers more than $68 billion last year, double the amount in 2007.
DNC Chief, Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, announces Democrat’s Plan to Save Medicare: Duck and Attack Paul Ryan’s Plan (Video)
Posted in Political Issues, tagged Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Medicare, Paul Ryan on May 31, 2011 | 3 Comments »
The Democrats have no plan. Isn’t that a shocker?
Wasserman-Shultz is your typical Democrat. She ducks and dives because the Democrats want to kick the can down the road and all they can do is attack Paul Ryan’s plan. Medicare is in the red by trillions and Democrats can only use scare tactics instead of putting forth a solution.

The government is using the citizen’s paranoia of terrorism to take away our rights. Big Brother is watching and just thinking of committing a crime could cause someone to lose their freedoms.
