Obama crony resigns from Labor Department after it is discovered he gave Federal Contracts to his friends

I wonder why the liberal mainstream media didn’t report about this? Oh, they have to protect their golden boy Barack Obama.

WASHINGTON (TheBlaze/AP) — A high-ranking Department of Labor official appointed by President Barack Obama has resigned after an internal investigation found that he improperly steered federal contracts to friends and former colleagues.

Raymond Jefferson, who headed the department’s Veterans Employment and Training Service since 2009, used his position to coerce or intimidate other employees to make the awards without open competition, according to a July 21 report by the agency’s acting inspector general, Daniel Petrole.

Jefferson resigned his post on Tuesday, Labor Department spokesman Carl Fillichio said.

A former Army officer who lost all five fingers on his left hand when a hand grenade detonated prematurely during Special Forces training, Jefferson was tapped by Obama to head the office that helps veterans find jobs and employment training programs.

The report said that Jefferson and other lower ranking officials engaged in conduct “which reflects a consistent disregard of federal procurement rules and regulations, federal ethics principles and the proper stewardship of appropriated dollars.”

According to the Washington Post, Peter Choharis, Jefferson’s lawyer, said the report “relies on hearsay, has many internal inconsistencies and contradictions and omits substantial exculpatory evidence. We look forward to rebutting the report in its entirety when we have full access to the record.”

The investigation was prompted after a whistleblower reported irregularities last year to Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo.

Mississippi NAACP Executive Going to Prison on 10 Counts of Voter Fraud

No wonder the NAACP, and the majority on the left, are against showing ID at polling stations. It makes it hard to vote…over and over again.

The Daily Caller reports:

While NAACP President Benjamin Jealous lashed out at new state laws requiring photo ID for voting, an NAACP executive sits in prison, sentenced for carrying out a massive voter fraud scheme.

In a story ignored by the national media, in April a Tunica County, Miss., jury convicted NAACP official Lessadolla Sowers on 10 counts of fraudulently casting absentee ballots. Sowers is identified on an NAACP website as a member of the Tunica County NAACP Executive Committee.

Sowers received a five-year prison term for each of the 10 counts, but Circuit Court Judge Charles Webster permitted Sowers to serve those terms concurrently, according to the Tunica Times, the only media outlet to cover the sentencing.

“This crime cuts against the fabric of our free society,” Judge Webster said.

Sowers was found guilty of voting in the names of Carrie Collins, Walter Howard, Sheena Shelton, Alberta Pickett, Draper Cotton and Eddie Davis. She was also convicted of voting in the names of four dead persons: James L. Young, Dora Price, Dorothy Harris, and David Ross.

Democrats do love to vote early and vote often. Ask any dead person.

In the trial, forensic scientist Bo Scales testified that Sowers’s DNA was found on the inner seals of five envelopes containing absentee ballots.

This wasn’t Sowers’s first run-in with the law. Sowers previously had her probation revoked for disturbing the peace at a junior high school library, the Commercial Appeal of Memphis reported in 1990. During a hearing at that time, Sowers played the race card. She claimed to be the victim of “an attempt by powerful whites to silence” her, the newspaper reported. It didn’t work. She was ordered back to prison to complete the remaining two years of a three-year sentence she received for check forgery.

The NAACP has had other problems with voter fraud. The NAACP National Voter Fund registered a dead man to vote in Lake County, Ohio, in 2004. That same year, out of 325 voter registration cards filed by the NAACP in Cleveland, 48 were flagged as fraudulent.

Obama loses 37,000 + Followers on Twitter after Debt Ceiling Twitter Attack

President Barack Obama alienated 37,00 twitter followers last night with scores of tweets urging followers to contact their local Congressman over the debt deal.

With his approval rating sitting at an all-time low of 40 per cent amidst the debt crisis, tens of thousands of Americans unfollwed the President to avoid the deulge.

The president’s staff sent a total of 118 tweets asking his followers to write their Republican lawmakers to demand a compromise on debt legislation.

Just ignore the fact that Senate Democrats have tabled three Republican bills that deal with the debt ceiling: Paul Ryan’s Budget along with Cut, Cap and Balance and the latest bill shot down was the Boehner bill. Democrats won’t compromise and President Obama is the only idiot seeking tax hikes.

The first tweet read: ‘The time for putting party first is over. If you want to see a bipartisan #compromise, let Congress know. Call. Email. Tweet.’

The president’s campaign then sent out dozens more, calling out Republicans by state and urging followers to ask for a debt compromise.

But what followed was a mass exodus, as frustrated followers ‘unfollowed’ Mr Obama – by the thousands.

By the time @BarackObama sent its last tweet on the subject of debt, he was nearly 37,000 followers light.

One Twitter account holder, who posts as @giiiiina wrote: ‘@BarackObama why are you blowing up twitter?!’

Isn’t this the same guy who said technology “becomes a diversion rather than a tool of empowerment?’

CMS Report: Health Care Costs Higher thanks to ObamaCare Law

I wonder why the liberal main-stream media isn’t talking about the latest Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service’s report that tell Americans President Obama and the Democrats lied? The report claims that health care costs would be cheaper without the ObamaCare law.

So much for that Obama promise that Americans would save $2500 per year. So much for that Obama promise that his health care law would be cheaper due to the ObamaCare law.

Richard S. Foster, Chief Actuary of CMS, testified that ObamaCare would not lower the cost of health care or insurance premiums and stated that Americans would not get to keep the insurance plans they like.

From The Washington Times:

Despite President Obama’s promises to rein in health care costs as part of his reform bill, health spending nationwide is expected to rise more than if the sweeping legislation had never become law.

Total spending is projected to grow annually by 5.8 percent under Mr. Obama’s Affordable Care Act, according to a 10-year forecast by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released Thursday. Without the ACA, spending would grow at a slightly slower rate of 5.7 percent annually.

CMS officials attributed the growth to an expansion of the insured population. Under the plan, an estimated 23 million Americans are expected to obtain insurance in 2014, largely through state-based exchanges and expanded Medicaid eligibility.

The federal government is projected to spend 20 percent more onMedicaid, while spending on private health insurance is expected to rise by 9.4 percent.

DNC Mouth Piece, Debbie Wasserman Shultz, claims GOP seeks “dictatorship…spark panic”

This is coming from a woman whose party still hasn’t produced a budget in over 800 + days and has no debt ceiling plan that any Democrat has seen. The same party who tabled the Republican’s “Cut, Cap and Balance” bill without any debate?

The same party who wants Obama to invoke the 14th Amendment to raise the debt ceiling if a deal isn’t reached. The same party whose leader, President Obama, has threatened to veto any bipartisan short-term debt ceiling deal that doesn’t extend his credit card beyond the 2012 elections solely for political purposes only.

Again, who wants a dictatorship and what party wants the U.S. government to default?

Politico reports:

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), chair of the Democratic National Committee, said Wednesday that House Republicans are trying to impose “dictatorship” through their tactics in the debt-ceiling negotiations. She said the GOP rhetoric could “spark panic and chaos,” which she called “potentially devastating” to the economy.

“Their tactics” include passing “Cut, Cap and Balance” to only have Senate Democrats table the bill with no debate. Then Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid (D-NV) informed Republicans that John Boehner’s debt ceiling plan was dead on arrival…without ever seeing/reading the bill.

Wasserman-Shultz is a well documented liar, truth stretcher and gaffe machine. She is Obama’s hand-picked mouthpiece and the face of the Democratic party who will lie, blame, use inflamatory rhetoric and class warfare to push their socialist-progressive agenda.

The chair telephoned POLITICO to express “significant disappointment in where … Republicans have allowed this debate to degenerate.”

“Aren’t we at the point where the closer we get to chaos, the more concern that there should be about coming to the table and compromising with Democrats?” Wasserman Schultz asked. “This is not leadership. This is almost like dictatorship. I know they want to force the outcome that … their extremists would like to impose. But they are getting ready to spark panic and chaos, and they seem to be OK with that. And it’s just really disappointing, and potentially devastating.”

Democrats are labeling anyone who wants to stop them, and Obama, from spending as “extremists.” Chuck Schumer was busted and let everyone in on their scheme to label  opposition as extremists.

Specifically, Wasserman Schultz cited a movie clip House Republican Whip Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) had played Tuesday during a closed-door meeting of the House Republican Conference. The brief clip was from “The Town,” and Republicans said it was intended to send the message that “we’re all in this together.”

The DNC chair said: “They start the day with trying to incite their caucus with, essentially, violent movie clips – pushing their people to inflict pain and hurt people.”

Michael Steel, press secretary to Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), responded: “Given how serious the situation is – and the situation is serious – why is she spending time complaining about Kevin McCarthy’s taste in movies?”

Maybe instead of worrying about movie clips, Wasserman-Shultz can ask her party to produce a budget for the past two years along with a debt ceiling plan.

Poll: 46% Think Most in Congress are Corrupt

Only 46% think Congress is corrupt? Seriously? 54% of Americans are idiots!

Voters are more convinced than ever that most congressmen are crooks.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters now view most members of Congress as corrupt. That’s up seven points from June and the highest finding yet recorded.  Just 29% think most members are not corrupt, and another 25% are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Thanks to those sexually perverted Democrats (Weiner/Wu) and tax cheats like Charlie Rangel.

Similarly, a whopping 85% of voters think most members of Congress are more interested in helping their own careers than in helping other people. That’s a record high for surveys stretching back to early November 2006.  Only seven percent (7%) believe most of the legislators are more interested in helping others.

Obamanomics: “Less money coming in” so we had to “spend more”

Obama’s ideology about economics is the reason we are in this present mess. His belief in Keynesian economics shows he knows nothing about economics. Nobody has ever SPENT their way out of DEBT.

(CNSNews.com) – When speaking to the nation in a primetime television address on Monday, President Barack Obama said that because less money was “coming in” during the recession, the federal government had to “spend even more.”

What have we received from Obama’s flawed Keynesian economic theory? Record spending, record deficits, higher unemployment and more Americans on food stamps.

“The deficit was on track to top $1 trillion the year I took office,” said Obama.  “To make matters worse, the recession meant that there was less money coming in, and it required us to spend even more — on tax cuts for middle-class families to spur the economy; on unemployment insurance; on aid to states so we could prevent more teachers and firefighters and police officers from being laid off.  These emergency steps also added to the deficit.”

Obama failed to mention that he has spent more than any president in history. No mention of his almost $1 trillion-dollar stimulus and unknown trillions that he will spend to implement ObamaCare. He failed to mention he increased spending in Afghanistan and got the U.S. into another war with Libya as we drop bombs in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.

How is unemployment since Obama spent all that money? Over 2 years of 9% plus unemployment. FAIL!

Obama then went on to make his argument for a “balanced approach,” with tax increases as part of a deal to increase to debt limit.

According to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), known as the economic stimulus, was passed by the Democrat-led Congress in February 2009 and has cost the taxpayers $821 billion.

The CBO projects that the federal budget deficit will reach $1.5 trillion by the end of the fiscal year 2011. The current national debt limit is  $14.29 trillion.
