Obama knows where the next generation of mindless liberals reside and the taxpayers are paying for his propaganda.

From Beltway Confidential:

President Obama and his administration officials have made 435 taxpayer-funded visits to college campuses or other events targeting students since March 2011 , including 166 trips to battleground states, a new study shows.

“The travel is not tied to trying to pass a specific piece of legislation,” Paul Conway, president of the influential youth group, Generation Opportunity, told The Washington Examiner. “It’s all travel specifically targeted to a demographic. And when you think about how important a role young voters play in [Obama's] coalition, then it’s not just by happenstance.”

According to the study, which surveyed administration announcements and media reports,Virginia students have received 34 visits –  more than any other state — from Obama or his representatives. That number is doubtless inflated by the convenience of traveling a relatively short distance for events, but the state also plays a crucial role in his re-election efforts.

“If we win Virginia, we will win this election,” Obama said at a high school in Leesburg, Va., during a recent campaign stop. California and New York — in fairness, two deep-blue states — rank second and third for administration visits to students, but Pennsylvania comes in fourth with 22.

North Carolina, which saw Obama recently “slow-jam the news” with Jimmy Fallon during an official event focused om student loans at the state’s flagship university, has received 19 visits. Students in other key battleground states have also received significant attention, especially Florida (17), Colorado (15),  Michigan and Ohio (14 each). Students in Iowa and New Hampshire got nine visits each from the official Obama team, while Wisconsin edged New Mexico by getting six visits to its campuses, rather than five. The Obama administration visited students in Nevada twice.

“This is a tale of two campaigns,” Conway said. “You have official travel which is paid for by the taxpayers that the president and the vice president and the cabinet and the sub-cabinet have been doing for about a year and a half.”

It’s really disingenuous for Democrats to demagogue Paul Ryan’s bipartisan Medicare plan considering they help orchestrate the theft of $716 billion from Medicare to both pay for ObamaCare and “save” Medicare. This double-counting technique has been exposed by Richard Foster, Chief Actuary of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Health and Human Service Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

Just remember this when debating those uninformed O-bots.

Simply disgusting but typical for a community organizer holding a position that is far above his pay grade.

From Gateway Pundit:

Last November Barack Obama sent a personal letter of condolence when rapper Heavy D passed away at 44.

But when 17 members of the elite Navy SEALs were killed in the crash in Afghanistan back in August 2011, he sent their parents a form letter.

For the Obama campaign it’s all about lies and propaganda to push their agenda of destruction.

Obama answers a planted question in his AMA by a user account 4 hours old. Nobody notices/cares.

From Reddit:

  • Profile created mere hours before minutes after the AMA was announced, and literally six seconds before asking a well written, paragraph long question (approximate typing speed assuming it was typed after creating the account? 1570 wpm)
  • Created a profile 5 minutes 39 seconds after the AMA going live, when servers were having a fit.
  • Asked question explicitly requesting ways to recruit the youth that Obama relied on last election (many of whom are disillusioned with him, for all the reasons she presents herself as being subject to)
  • Is literally only 1 of 10 questions answered.
  • asked by one hmlee who (according to some internet detective work):
    • has only one comment in her history, total
    • Posted a blog entry supporting Obama
    • lists herself as working/having worked as an intern at the Department of Justice

So, is it possible that she heard about it on her own, created an account, and typed up an eloquent question that is a PR man’s wet dream all within less than 6 minutes? Yes, it’s possible. It’s just not particularly likely

Because the first two rounds of printing money worked so marvelously.

From NY Times:

The Federal Reserve chairman, Ben S. Bernanke, delivered on Friday a detailed and forceful argument for new steps to stimulate the economy, reinforcing earlier indications that the Fed is on the verge of action.

Mr. Bernanke said that the Fed’s policies over the last several years have provided significant benefits, but that a clear need remained for the Fed to do more and that, in his judgment, the likely benefits of such actions outweighed the potential costs.

“It is important to achieve further progress, particularly in the labor market,” Mr. Bernanke said in his prepared remarks. “Taking due account of the uncertainties and limits of its policy tools, the Federal Reserve will provide additional policy accommodation as needed to promote a stronger economic recovery and sustained improvement in labor market conditions in a context of price stability.”

Mr. Bernanke did not announce any new steps in his speech, delivered before an annual monetary policy conference organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Nor did he offer a timetable, although many analysts expect the Fed to act at the next meeting of its policy-making committee on Sept. 12 and 13.

Some of those analysts expect that group, the Federal Open Market Committee, to announce a new round of asset purchases, further expanding its holdings of Treasury securities and mortgage-backed securities to reduce borrowing costs and spur investment. Others expect instead it will announce its intent to keep its benchmark interest rate near zero beyond its current forecast of late 2014.

Even Democrats are waking up to the lofty rhetoric they fell for in 2008. Obama’s speeches use to be a hot-ticket item. Now people know it’s all just hot air from his constant gum-flapping.

From Dunwoody Patch:

Dunwoody Democrats have a chance to see President Barack Obama’s acceptance speech in person at next week’s Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC.

The DeKalb Democratic Party sent out this message Thursday night.

In Atlanta: Manuel’s Tavern, 602 N Highland Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30307

In Macon: Bibb County Democratic Party, 835 Forsyth St. Suite A, Macon GA 31201

Here’s the rules:

Everyone who is at Manuel’s Tavern or the Bibb County Democratic Party by noon is eligible for two tickets. Arrive early if you want, but it won’t give you a better chance to win. Just be there by 12 noon!

If less than 50 people arrive, everyone will get a pair! If more than 50 folks arrive, we will do a random drawing to determine our winners.

There is no cost involved. We’re not selling the tickets, we’re giving them away.

Sure, Obama didn’t talk enough about his failed stimulus loaded with all those mythical “shovel-ready” jobs. If only he had talked more unemployment would be at 6.5% as his economic stimulus promised.

From CBSTampa/AP

…The president says he also wants to do a better job of explaining to the public how his policies will help the economy grow. Obama claims he didn’t do a good enough job selling Americans on the stimulus plan and the autocompany bailout because he was so focused on acting to fix the economy.

It’s the results moron, not your non-stop con job.

“[W]e were in the midst of a once-in-a-lifetime crisis, so we had to just do stuff fast. And sometimes it wasn’t popular,” Obama told Time. “And we didn’t have the luxury of six months to explain exactly what we were doing with the Recovery Act, which was basically a jobs act and making-sure-middle-class-families-didn’t-fall-into-poverty act.”

Now, after the passage of his $817 billion stimulus, we are suffering from the worst economic recovery in history and a record number of Americans are in poverty. Gee, if only Obama talked more about the benefits of his failed stimulus.

Believes he’s a race expert because he sees black people

MSNBC’s Obama fluffer continues to show his obsession with all things race-related. Matthews believes his can speak out about race due to where his Lilly-white ass lives and because he drives by black people on his way to work.

From DC:

MSNBC host Chris Matthews might have exaggerated his abilities to hear dog-whistle racism at this week’s Republican National Convention in Tampa, Newsbusters’ Jack Coleman noted.

During Tuesday night’s coverage, Matthews made the case that he is well-positioned to judge racial issues because of where he lives, after having repeatedly insinuated that Republican figures are racist.

“I go back to living in D.C. all these years. I’ve lived there 40 years, a black-majority city, and anybody who wants to get up early in Washington and drive down North Capitol and drive past Florida Ave., sees nothing but young, but black people up at 6:30 in the morning going to work,” Matthews said. “That’s where they’re going, to work, and not at big-wage jobs and not to get a welfare check, they’re out working hard all day and not coming home with a fantastic paycheck. So this notion of blacks live on welfare and whites live on work is a brilliant political ploy, but it’s not true, Rachel [Maddow]. And you know it. I know it.”

That’s not exactly true. Matthews doesn’t live in the District of Columbia but instead lives in Chevy Chase, Md., an affluent suburb of Washington, D.C.
