Team Obama is on a mission to redistribute as much money as possible from the producers in society. What is funny is how left-wing loons attempt to say Obama didn’t gut the welfare-to-work program signed into law by Bill Clinton. (See HHS waivers)

From Beltway Confidential:

Obama administration officials have insisted that their decision to grant states waivers to redefine work requirements for welfare recipients would not “gut” the landmark 1996 welfare reform law. But a new report from the Congressional Research Service obtained by the Washington Examiner suggests that the administration’s suspension of a separate welfare work requirement has already helped explode the number of able-bodied Americans on food stamps.

In addition to the broader work requirement that has become a contentious issue in the presidential race, the 1996 welfare reform law included a separate rule encouraging able-bodied adults without dependents to work by limiting the amount of time they could receive food stamps. President Obama suspended that rule when he signed his economic stimulus legislation into law, and the number of these adults on food stamps doubled, from 1.9 million in 2008 to 3.9 million in 2010, according to the CRS report, issued in the form of a memo to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va.

“This report once again confirms that President Obama has severely gutted the welfare work requirements that Americans have overwhelmingly supported since President Clinton signed them into law,” Cantor said in an emailed statement. “It’s time to reinstate these common-sense measures, and focus on creating job growth for those in need.”

Under the rule adopted in 1996, food stamps for able-bodied adults without dependents were limited to three months in a 36-month period unless the participant in the program “works at least 20 hours a week; participates in an employment and training program for at least 20 hours per week; or participates in a (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) ‘workfare’ program for at least 20 hours per week.”

Obama’s economic stimulus legislation suspended the rule for all states starting April 2009. Delaware continued to enforce the rule anyway, along with New York City and parts of Colorado, South Dakota, and Texas. This suspension expired at the end of the 2010 fiscal year (Sept. 30, 2010) and Congress rebuffed Obama’s requests to extend it in his fiscal years 2011 and 2012 budgets. However, Obama used his regulatory authority to effectively extend the waivers to nearly all states over the past two years. (The law grants the executive the authority to do this in states where the unemployment rate is above 10 percent or there’s a “lack of sufficient jobs.”)

We all knew the DOJ report would find Holder “innocent” despite the evidence, and his lies, that show he knew.

From WaPo:

The Justice Department’s internal watchdog on Wednesday faulted the agency for misguided strategies, errors in judgment and management failures during a bungled gun-trafficking probe in Arizona that disregarded public safety and resulted in hundreds of weapons turning up at crime scenes in the U.S. and Mexico.

A former head of the department’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and a deputy assistant attorney general in Justice’s criminal division in Washington left the department upon the report’s release — the first by retirement, the second by resignation.

In the 471-page report, Inspector General Michael Horowitz referred more than a dozen people for possible department disciplinary action for their roles in Operation Fast and Furious and a separate, earlier probe known as Wide Receiver, undertaken during the George W. Bush administration. A former acting deputy attorney general and the head of the criminal division were criticized for actions and omissions related to operations subsequent to and preceding Fast and Furious.

The report did not criticize Attorney General Eric Holder, but said lower-level officials should have briefed him about the investigation much earlier.

The report found no evidence that Holder was informed about the Fast and Furious operation before Jan. 31, 2011, or that the attorney general was told about the much-disputed gun-walking tactic employed by the ATF.

Obama’s stimulus paid for the Fast and Furious Operation. Obama order the operation. Holder bragged about the operation. DOJ members attempted to smear the whistleblower.  Holder lied about his knowledge of the operation while testifying to Congress.

This was AG Eric Holder’s attempt to “brainwash” Americans with false information about guns in order to push for stricter gun control laws. Fast and Furious was a deliberate plan to infringe on the 2nd Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens. All the evidence proves Holder is guilty of treason, murder and international firearms trafficking. But the Inspector General couldn’t find a link.

Gun-walking was an experimental tactic, barred under long-standing department policy. ATF agents in Arizona allowed suspected “straw purchasers,” in these cases believed to be working for Mexican drug gangs, to leave Phoenix-area gun stores with weapons in order to track them and bring charges against gun-smuggling kingpins who long had eluded prosecution, but they lost track of most of the guns.

The experimental operations were a response to widespread criticisms of the agency’s anti-smuggling efforts. Because of thin ATF staffing and weak penalties, the traditional strategy of arresting suspected straw buyers as soon as possible had failed to stop the flow of tens of thousands of guns to Mexico — more than 68,000 in the past five years.

The inspector general found fault with the work of the senior ATF leadership, the ATF staff and U.S. attorney’s office in Phoenix and senior officials of Justice’s criminal division in Washington. He also said that poor internal information-gathering and drafting at Justice and ATF caused the department to initially misinform Congress about Fast and Furious, beginning with a Feb. 4, 2011, letter.

“The inspector general’s report confirms findings by Congress’ investigation of a near total disregard for public safety in Operation Fast and Furious,” said Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which has been investigating Operation Fast and Furious since early 2011. Horowitz is to testify before Issa’s panel Thursday.

During the investigation President Barack Obama ordered Holder to withhold from the committee, under executive privilege, some documents describing how the department responded to the panel. The Republican-controlled House voted to hold Holder in contempt and has authorized a civil lawsuit to make the administration turn over the documents. Horowitz said he was not denied access to any of the documents.

Among others the report singled out for criticism were former acting Deputy Attorney General Gary Grindler; Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer, who heads the criminal division; Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke; and Holder’s own former deputy chief of staff, Monty Wilkinson.

So, let me get this straight. Everyone around Holder knew but Holder didn’t? Sure, that’s the ticket.

But, but, but…Obama is strong on national security and he “killed” Bin Laden himself.

From The Hill:

Americans think al Qaeda is more scared of Mitt Romney than President Obama, according to a new poll released Wednesday.

Romney leads on the “scary to terrorists” question 39 to 37 percent, according to thepoll conducted by Langer Research for Esquire/Yahoo! News.

The result is well within the poll’s margin of error, which is 4 percentage points for a random national sample of 1,002 adults.

But it is a surprising result after the successful Navy SEAL mission last year that resulted in the death of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, under Obama’s watch. The survey also found that more Americans trust Obama than Romney “to commit the U.S. to war.” Obama leads Romney 46 to 37 percent in the survey response.

So, the left is outraged over Mitt factually stating the truth?

From The Hill:

Large chunks of voters who don’t have an income tax liability vote for Democrats, recent studies and figures suggest, but the issue isn’t as clear-cut as Mitt Romney made it seem in remarks at a private fundraiser this spring.

Many of these voters are senior citizens who are more likely to vote for Republicans. Others don’t pay an income tax because of deductions championed by Republican lawmakers.

Romney, the GOP nominee for president, said in the May 17 fundraiser that 47 percent of people paid no income tax — and wrote off his ability to win them over.

“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what,” Romney said at a fundraiser in Boca Raton, Fla., according to a leaked videotape revealed by the liberal magazine Mother Jones.

Romney said this 47 percent are with Obama, are “dependent upon government” and “believe that they are victims” who are “entitled to healthcare, to food, to housing, to you name it.”

The use of the 47 percent figure reflects the 46.4 percent of households or individuals who did not owe an income tax in 2011, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center. Almost 80 percent of those individuals and families made less than $30,000, the analysis estimates.

Exit polls from 2008 back Romney’s argument that many of those people are more likely to vote for Obama, though it is far from universal.

About three in four voters making less than $15,000 a year backed the president, according to exit polls. But only about six in 10 voters making between $15,000 and $30,000 voted for Obama.

Bullshit. Obama screamed about the $10 trillion in national debt while campaigning for the job. Obama just didn’t want the weak-minded liberals, who think Letterman is funny, to know that he has added $6 trillion to the national debt in just 3.5 years.

As we know, Obama knows what the national debt was before he took office…

Everything Obama claimed or promised ended the day he stepped into the Oval Office.

From Daily Caller:

President Barack Obama has received ample criticism for the first family’s numerous expensive vacations and his frequentgolf outings. Based on old C-SPAN footage of Obama, however, it would seem that the president might have once agreed with his critics.

In an October 20, 2006 C-SPAN interview with New York Times columnist Bob Herbert about his memoir “The Audacity of Hope,” then-Senator Obama explained, in a discussion about presidential aspirations, that presidents must forgo vacations and leisure in order to work for the American people.

“Essentially the bargain that any president, I think, strikes with the American people is: ‘you give me this office and in turn my fears, doubts, insecurities, foibles, need for sleep, family life, vacations, leisure is gone. I am giving myself to you.’ And the American people should have no patience for whatever is going through your head because you’ve got a job to do,” Obama says in the video.

“And so how I think about it is that you don’t make that decision unless you are prepared to make that sacrifice, that trade off, that bargain and I think that what’s difficult and important for somebody like myself who has a wonderful forbearing wife and two gorgeous young children is that they end up having to make some of those sacrifices with you,” he continued. “And that is a profound decision that you don’t make lightly.”

The whole “Republicans are obstructionist” meme has been exposed as a lie many times by Democrats who vote against Obama. This is another example.

Jennifer Rubin reports, via WaPo:

President Obama would like us to believe that the only thing standing between extension of the Bush tax cuts for everyone and expiration of those same cuts is the Republican Party. But of course, Obama has never had a solid Democratic majority on his side for raising taxes on small business and upper income taxpayers.

It now looks like he’s getting the rug pulled out from under him once again. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R- Ky.) has eager staffers only too willing to highlight a Politico report that “Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin of Illinois is floating a six-month extension of current rates combined with budget cuts so lawmakers have time to reach a grand bargain deal early next year.” You can count in the mix of Obama non-supporters Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) and “other Democrats,” according to the report.

This will be a blow to Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) who is willing to drive the economy over a cliff to soak the rich. In July the Post reported:

In a speech Monday, Sen. Patty Murray (Wash.), the Senate’s No. 4 Democrat and the leader of the caucus’s campaign arm, plans to make the clearest case yet for going over what some have called the “fiscal cliff.”Sure enough she delivered her threat in a speech at the Brooking Institute. (“So, if we can’t get a good deal, a balanced deal that calls on the wealthy to pay their fair share, then I will absolutely continue this debate into 2013 rather than lock in a long-term deal this year that throws middle class families under the bus, and I think my party and the American people will support that.”)

At the time, a stampede of Democrats tried to distance themselves from Murray’s remarks. Wreck the economy to be able to raise taxes in a weak economy? Many members balked.

And many Democrats are balking now as well. Perhaps the president and Murray are willing to engage in the same sort of game of chicken they denounced Republicans for practicing during the debt-ceiling fight. But what Democrat in an unsafe seat (House or Senate) is going to want to vote down a measure to preserve a middle class tax cut and plunge the economy into another recession because Republicans also want to maintain the current tax rate for upper income taxpayers and small businesses? It defies common sense, let alone economic sense.

Everything linked to Obama seems to cost people more money.

From 9News:

BLT Steak, a stone’s throw from the White House, is giving patrons a choice of hamburgers named after President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Republican challenger Mitt Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan.

Voting ends October 2, just over a month before polling day.

The Obama burger is the most expensive at $US28 ($A26.84) because “he’s the president” and deserves the best, manager Adam Sanders, whose establishment counts the first family among its patrons, said on Tuesday.

Wonder if the person who eats the Obama burger passes the meal costs down to the next guy.

It combines eight ounces (225 grams) of American-produced Kobe style beef with a roasted pineapple, in what Sanders called a homage to Obama’s Hawaiian roots.

I wonder why BLT didn’t go with dog meat?

The Romney burger features a similar-sized patty with a “Utah style pastrami stack”.

Utah is the home state of the Mormon faith, to which the former Massachusetts governor adheres.

No mention of Obama’s Black Liberation Church that he attended with racist Rev. Wright giving sermons. Why wasn’t this mentioned?

The burger also has Swiss cheese. It costs $US23 ($A22.05).

For Biden, the restaurant came up with a $US23 saucy Sloppy Joe, while the slightly pricier $US26 Ryan burger is topped by cheddar cheese from his native Wisconsin.

Sloppy Joe for Biden? I wonder if it’s served with straws for retards like Biden.
