Paul Ryan Asks Obama’s White House if They Will Obey the Law and Meet the Deadline to Submit a Budget

Hey Obama…where’s your budget?

Laws mean nothing to the dictator-in-chief. Late budgets that disobey laws. No budgets for 3 years that violate the Constitution. Despite all this, they have no problem spending our money and running up record deficits and national debt.

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Wednesday asked the White House if it will once again miss the legal deadline for submitting an annual budget to Congress.

Under the law, Obama must submit a budget by the first Monday in February, but he has met the deadline only once. The annual budget submission is supposed to start a congressional budgeting process, but that has also broken down. The Senate last passed a budget resolution in 2009. 

“Given the critical importance of addressing our nation’s fiscal problems, I am writing to ask whether the President will submit his budget request this year on or before February 4 as required by law,” Ryan wrote in a letter to Acting Budget Director Jeff Zients. “If the Administration does not plan to meet the statutory deadline, when do you anticipate the request being made?”

An administration source said this month that “no decisions” had been made on budget timing this year.

[...]Ryan’s office says that Obama has missed the budget deadline by more than any president since the 1920s.

Obama’s Number Cooker, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, is Resigning

Solis did her job for four years and cooked the living hell out of the employment/unemployment number to promote Obama’s mythical “save or created millions of jobs” propaganda. Under this idiot, and the president, we witnessed a 31-year low in the labor force participation rates. This is what lowered the unemployment number as these thieves claimed it was due to all those imaginary jobs Obama “created.”

Labor Secretary Hilda Solis is resigning from the Obama administration, the White House announced Wednesday.

In a statement, President Obama thanked Solis “for her steadfast commitment and service not only to the Administration, but on behalf of the American people.”

“Over the last four years, Secretary Solis has been a critical member of my economic team as we have worked to recover from the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression and strengthen the economy for the middle class,” Obama said. “Her efforts have helped train workers for the jobs of the future, protect workers’ health and safety and put millions of Americans back to work.”

Solis was a four-term congresswoman representing southern California, and was the first Hispanic woman to serve in the U.S. Cabinet.

Solis becomes the fifth member of the Cabinet to announce that she intends to leave in Obama’s second term, joining Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Environmental Protection Agency Director Lisa Jackson.

Minnesota Man Videotapes Sheriff Deputies and Gets Arrested…Charged with Violating HIPAA

Police are extremely scared of video cameras because they typically catch them violating someone’s rights.

Andrew Henderson watched as Ramsey County sheriff’s deputies frisked a bloody-faced man outside his Little Canada apartment building. Paramedics then loaded the man, a stranger to Henderson, into an ambulance.

Henderson, 28, took out his small handheld video camera and began recording. It’s something he does regularly with law enforcement.

But what happened next was different. The deputy, Jacqueline Muellner, approached him and snatched the camera from his hand, Henderson said.

“We’ll just take this for evidence,” Muellner said. Their voices were recorded on Henderson’s cellphone as they spoke, and Henderson provided a copy of the audio file to the Pioneer Press. “If I end up on YouTube, I’m gonna be upset.”

Henderson calmly insisted he was within his rights to do what he was doing. He refused to give his name.

[...]Henderson said he carries his camera with him and uses it often. Occasionally, he will post something online.

“Police are in a position where they have a certain power that should be watched by the citizens,” he said, explaining his motivation. “The best way to watch them is to film them and hold them accountable for their actions.”

The day after Henderson’s camera was taken Oct. 30, he went to the Arden Hills sheriff’s substation to get it back.

He gave staff there his name. The camera, they said, would have to wait, according to Henderson.

A week later, Henderson was charged with obstruction of legal process and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

He had been filming from about 30 feet away, he said. Henderson said deputies gave him no warning before Muellner took his camera.

The deputy wrote on the citation, “While handling a medical/check the welfare (call), (Henderson) was filming it. Data privacy HIPAA violation. Refused to identify self. Had to stop dealing with sit(uation) to deal w/Henderson.”

The Supreme Court ruled citizens can videotape police out in public. So what the officer did was illegal.

Henderson appeared in Ramsey County District Court on Jan. 2. A pretrial hearing was rescheduled for Jan. 30.

The allegation that his recording of the incident violated HIPAA, or the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, is nonsense, said Jennifer Granick, a specialist on privacy issues at Stanford University Law School.

The rule deals with how health care providers handle consumers’ health information.

“There’s nothing in HIPAA that prevents someone who’s not subject to HIPAA from taking photographs on the public streets,” Granick said. “HIPAA has absolutely nothing to say about that.”

She had never heard of a case in which a law enforcement agency cited HIPAA to bar someone from recording, she said.

Foreign Auto Bailout? Obama Administration Loans Nissan $1.4 Billion to Build Electric Cars in US

Washington — Nissan Motor Co. said it will begin U.S. production of its all-electric Leaf on Thursday in Tennessee as part of a $1.4 billion government loan.

The Japanese automaker won an Energy Department loan in 2010 to build a battery plant in Smyrna, Tenn., and to retool to build the Leaf at its assembly plant next door.

The Leaf will be built alongside the company’s gasoline-powered products.

Nissan says it is the only automaker that manufactures its own electric vehicle batteries, at the biggest lithium-ion automotive battery plant in the United States.

The Leaf’s sales have struggled and the automaker failed to double sales in 2012 as it had predicted and instead sold about the same number as in 2011.

Last year, Nissan sold 9,819 Leaf EVs in the United States — up 1.5 percent over 2011.

This administration loves failures.

Clinton Publicly Linked Benghazi to Video Before Woods and Doherty Were Killed

They were killed due to Obama and Hillary’s incompetence and lust to arm Islamic terrorists.

On the night of Sept. 11, 2012 — before former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed by a terrorist mortar strike — Secretary of State Hillary Clinton released a public statement linking the attack against the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, with an anti-Muslim video, which she referred to as “inflammatory material posted on the Internet.”

Clinton’s statement, still posted on State’s website, is dated Sept. 11, 2012, and headlined: “Statement on the Attack in Benghazi.”

The statement first notes that a State Department officer had been killed in Benghazi — an apparent reference to Information Management Officer Sean Smith, whose body had been recovered at the U.S. mission in Benghazi by U.S. security officers by about 5:30 p.m. Washington, D.C., time on Sept. 11 — or 11:30 p.m. Benghazi time.

The statement then talks about Clinton’s communications that night with Libya’s president and refers to what Clinton calls “inflammatory material posted on the Internet.”

“I condemn in the strongest terms the attack on our mission in Benghazi today,” Clinton said in the statement. “As we work to secure our personnel and facilities, we have confirmed that one of our State Department officers was killed. We are heartbroken by this terrible loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and those who have suffered in this attack.

“This evening, I called Libyan President Magariaf to coordinate additional support to protect Americans in Libya,” Clinton continued. “President Magariaf expressed his condemnation and condolences and pledged his government’s full cooperation.

“Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet,” Clinton said. “The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear: There is never any justification for violent acts of this kind.”

A CIA timeline of the Benghazi events provided by a senior U.S. intelligence official, the Senate Homeland Security Committee’s report on Benghazi and the State Department’s own Accountability Review Board Report all indicate that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed at the U.S. “Annex” in Benghazi sometime between about 5:14 a.m. and 5:26 a.m. Benghazi time on Sept. 12. That would be between 11:14 p.m. and 11:26 p.m. on Sept. 11 in Washington, D.C. — or at least 16 minutes after the AP reported Clinton’s statement.

Obama’s CIA Director Nominee Says Islam Helped Shape His World View

Obama + Brennan = Muslim appeasers who think alike.

(CNSNews.com) – As a college student in the 1970s, John Brennan, President Obama’s nominee for CIA director, traveled in Indonesia where – he recalled in a speech in New York in 2010 – “despite my long hair, my earring and my obvious American appearance, I was welcomed throughout that country, in a way that is a reflection of the tremendous warmth of Islamic cultures and societies.”

Try that in Muslim countries like Iran, Pakistan, Syria, Libya and see how warm Islamic culture is.

Brennan’s Feb. 13, 2010 address to a meeting at the Islamic Center at New York University, facilitated by the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), provided an insight into his views on Islam, a faith which he said during the speech had “helped to shape my own world view.”

Travels around the world over more than three decades had taught him about “the goodness and beauty of Islam,” said Brennan, whose 25-year career at the CIA until 2005 included a stint as station chief in Riyadh.

Damn, he sounds like Obama when spreading these lies about Islam. Just don’t ask them why the Koran tells its followers to kill those who don’t convert.

“Like the president during his childhood years in Jakarta, I came to see Islam not how it is often misrepresented, but for what it is – how it is practiced every day, by well over a billion Muslims worldwide, a faith of peace and tolerance and great diversity.”

Peace? Tolerance? Diversity? They have been fighting for centuries. Islam is not tolerant (ask women and gays) and as for diversity, try to go to Mecca as any other faith besides Islam and see what the results are. Liberals love revisionist history.

In the speech, during which he drew applause after speaking in Arabic for more than a minute, Brennan used terms evidently designed to appeal to his audience, such as “Al-Quds” for Jerusalem, “Palestine” and “as the Qur’an reveals” – in keeping with the Muslim belief that the Qur’an was “revealed” directly by Allah to Mohammed through the angel Jibril (Gabriel).

He condemned what he said were negative stereotypes in the U.S. about Muslims and hostility towards Islam, adding that government actions and policies had contributed to the problem but saying this would change under Obama.

“Ignorance is a threat to our national security, prejudice is a threat to our national security, discrimination is a threat to our national security. And those who purport to be religious are frequently the most egregious purveyors of ignorance, prejudice and discrimination – and it must stop,” he said.

Things have changed under Obama. Obama is now killing more Muslims and arming them at the same time (see Egypt, Libya, Syria et al.)

Biden: Obama Prepared to Use Executive Order on Gun Control

The Usurper-in-chief, the wanna-be dictator is going to use executive order because he pass his gun control scheme through Congress. Where does the Constitution grant a sitting president the power to create his own laws?

President Obama will likely take executive action in an effort to tamp down the recent rash of gun violence, Vice President Biden said Wednesday.

“The president is going go act,” said Biden, who is conducting meetings all week on gun control. “There are executive orders, executive action that can be taken. We haven’t decided what that is yet, but we’re compiling it all.”

He said last month’s Newtown, Conn., tragedy — which took the lives of 20 elementary school children — “touched the heart of the American people so profoundly” and “requires immediate, urgent action.”

Biden sat beside Attorney General Eric Holder as he met with gun-control leaders, including the Brady Campaign to End Gun Violence, along with victims of gun violence, including survivors of the Virginia Tech University shooting and the stepfather of a victim in last summer’s Aurora, Colo., shooting.

Holder can’t even control the guns he gave to the Mexican drug cartels.

“I want to make clear that we’re not going to get caught up in the notion that, unless we can do everything, we’re going to do nothing,” Biden said. “It’s critically important we act.”

Supreme Court to Rule if Police Can Take Your Blood Without Consent

According to the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution the answer is NO.

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments Wednesday in a landmark Fourth Amendment case that could clear up almost 50 years of uncertainty over the constitutionality of blood tests that are taken without a suspect’s consent.

The case involves a traffic stop in Missouri, but its ramifications could range far wider, potentially rewriting drunk-driving laws in all 50 states.

“It comes down, basically, to are you going to see blood draws every single time someone gets pulled over for a DUI,” said Michael A. Correll, a litigator with the international law firm Alston & Bird, who examined the legality of blood draws in the West Virginia Law Review last year.

[...]The case began in October 2010, when Tyler McNeely of Cape Girardeau, Mo., about 100 miles south of St. Louis, was pulled over for speeding. According to court documents, McNeely was unsteady and failed field sobriety tests, so state Highway Patrol Cpl. Mark Winder asked him to take a breath test.

When McNeely refused, Winder took him to a hospital, where McNeely refused to take a blood test. Winder told the lab technician to take a sample anyway. The record shows that at no time did Winder seek a warrant compelling the test, which indicated that McNeely’s blood-alcohol level was almost double the legal limit.
