I hope every New Yorker whose names and addresses were published sues the liberal new rag who gave criminals information on where they can steal guns.

From NYSenate.gov:

Brewster, N.Y. – 1/13/2013 – Today Senator Greg Ball (Patterson – R, C, I) announced that a burglary has been reported on Davis Ave. in White Plains, New York that evidently ties into The Journal News gun maps. It is reported that the burglar used The Journal News’ interactive gun map to target a home included on the map. Luckily the gun was locked up and no one was hurt.

“The Journal News has placed the lives of these folks at risk by creating a virtual shopping list for criminals and nut jobs. If the connection is proven, this is further proof that these maps are not only an invasion of privacy but that they present a clear and present danger to law-abiding, private citizens. Former convicts have already testified to the usefulness of the asinine Journal News ‘gun maps’ yet the reckless editors are evidently willing to roll the dice, gambling with the lives of innocent local homeowners,” said Senator Greg Ball.

Tomorrow, Senator Ball will be publicly unveiling three separate pieces of legislation, all with bipartisan support, among them (S2132), to protect the privacy rights of ordinary citizens; including: law enforcement personnel, victims of domestic violence and private citizens. Let it be clear however, that under Ball’s legislation that has garnered bipartisan kudos and support, law enforcement and all related agencies would continue to have full access to permit information. Senate bill (S2132) would protect lawful gun owners, including thousands of retired and active law enforcement and victim of domestic violence survivors, from having their information publicly disclosed.

“The same elitist eggheads who use their editorial page to coddle terrorists and criminals are now treating law abiding citizens like level three sexual predators. These bills are critical to keep folks safe and fundamentally protect their inherent right to privacy. I hope all of these bills will be brought to the floor for an up or down vote, and allowed to fail or pass on their own merits and not as part of a large, overarching gun-control package. This is not about the Second Amendment; these bills are simply about commonsense and personal privacy. Publishing this information on a website, as we have evidently just witnessed in the recent attempted gun burglary, provides criminals with a map of where they can steal firearms from lawful owners for later use in the commission of crimes. This legislation is critical,” said Senator Greg Ball.

In addition to Senator Ball’s legislation, the Vice President of the Affiliated Police Association of Westchester County, Robert Buckley, said in a letter, publishing these maps online is jeopardizing the safety of residents and is irresponsible.

“The Affiliated Police Association of Westchester County Inc. is putting The Journal News on notice that we will hold [them] accountable for any incident where any of our over 25,000 members are involved with an incident where a criminal or ex-con presents themselves at the residence of one of our members as a result of their name being made public by [their] newspaper,” said Buckley.

Left-wing hypocrisy has no shame.

From Breitbart:

In what seems like a surprise move, the White House working group on gun control is considering expanding federal funding for cops in schools.

It was the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre who, a week after the shooting in Newtown, recommended placing armed police officers in every school in America. The idea was ridiculed by the left but has been embraced by the school superintendent in Newtown at the behest of many parents. There are currently two officers present at each of the six schools in the Newtown district.

The White House has found that even many Democrats support the idea of cops in schools. Senator Barbara Boxer told the Post, “If a school district wants to have a community policing presence, I think it’s very important they have it.” Ninety percent of large, urbanhigh schools already have SROs on duty; however, the majority of schools, especially at the elementary level, have no security at all.

President Bill Clinton initiated a program which offered federal funding to offset the costs of hiring school resource officers, but the money was cut over the last five years. Even if the White House does embrace the new plan, it will not be as extensive as the NRA recommendation. Effectively, the administration would be restoring funding to a program that had fallen out of favor.

Obama's boss and sugar daddy

Obama’s boss and sugar daddy

An radical president using an extremist left-wing ‘think tank’ to set his agenda. The Center for American Progress is a George Soros funded group of radicals that have been setting Obama’s presidential policies from day one. Soros was a Hillary supporter and funneled untold millions into CAP. Once Hillary lost to Obama, Soros the felon, and his group embraced Obama and Obama has embraced them. They helped push for the ObamaCare bill and a host of other radical bills for Obama. John Podesta, who runs CAP, was the leader of Obama’s transitional team.

Now the anti-American, anti-2nd Amendment extremist have Obama’s ear and are pushing their anti-gun ideas.

From WaPo:

With President Obama readying an overhaul of the nation’s gun laws, a liberal think tank with singular influence throughout his administration is pushing for a sweeping agenda of strict new restrictions on and federal oversight of gun and ammunition sales.

The Center for American Progress is recommending 13 new gun policies to the White House — some of them executive actions that would not require the approval of Congress — in what amounts to the progressive community’s wish list.

So, a left-wing news rag is admitting that Obama is listening to, and taking recommendations, from a radical group of non-elected officials.

CAP’s proposals — which include requiring universal background checks, banning military-grade assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines, and modernizing data systems to track gun sales and enforce existing laws — are all but certain to face stiff opposition from the National Rifle Association and its many allies in Congress.

See the lies? There are no “military-grade assault weapons.” There are rifles that look like military-style but are simply semiautomatic. Military-grade weapons are automatic and have features that allow the gun to shot in a burst of 3 bullets. Lying is part of the left-wing radical’s propaganda. I wish someone would ask these radicals how a gun registry will stop murders and the criminals who commit them.

Obama — as well as Vice President Biden, who is leading the administration’s gun violence task force — has voiced support for many of these measures. Yet it is unclear which policies he ultimately will propose to Congress. Biden is planning to present his group’s recommendations to Obama on Tuesday.

CAP’s recommendations, presented Friday to White House officials and detailed in an 11-page report obtained by The Washington Post, establish a benchmark for what many in Obama’s liberal base are urging him to doafter last month’s massacre at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn.

Yet none of these radicals seem to care about all the killings in Chicago that involve mostly black children and adults. Chicago had more murders than deaths that occurred in Afghanistan but you haven’t heard Obama speak out about this tragedy in his adopted home town. Wonder why? Think it’s due to these record murders happening in a city with the strictest gun control laws having something to do with it? Wouldn’t want the low-information voters to learn the truth that gun control doesn’t work.

“There’s nothing here that interferes with the rights of people to have a gun to protect themselves,” CAP President Neera Tanden said. But, she added, “we have daily episodes where it seems that guns are in the wrong hands, and that’s why we think it’s important that the president acts.”
