Having higher taxes on the ultra rich is not going to solve the deficit problem but no one act is going to solve it. We are going to need a lot of shared sacrifice in order to get our fiscal situation where it should be for a country like this.

Yet Buffett allows Obama to spin the truth by comparing Buffett’s secretary’s income tax to the rich who pay capital gains taxes on top of federal income. Maybe the 47% who pay ZERO federal income taxes and receive a tax rebate should help with this “shared sacrifices.”

Real Unemployment is 10% Says CBO

Real Unemployment is higher that 10% when you figure in the millions who gave up and dropped out of the workforce all together but aren’t counted by BLS.

What do the NAR, Consumer Confidence and CBO forecasts have in common? If you said, “they are all completely worthless” you are absolutely correct. Alas, the market needs to “trade” off numbers, which is why the just released CBO numbers apparently are important… And the fact that the CBO predicted negative $2.5 trillion in net debt by 2011 back in 2011 is largely ignored. Anyway, here are some of the highlights.

2012 Deficit: $1.1 trillion; 2013 Deficit: $0.6 – yes, we are cackling like mad too…

Unemployment to remain above 8% in 2012 and 2013; will be around 7% by end of 2015; to drop to 5.25% by end of 2022.

This forecast is utterly idiotic and is completely unattainable unless the US workforce drops to all time lows andthe US economy generates 300,000 jobs a month for 10 years

Needless to say, CBO assumes the best of all worlds in this meaningless forecast

But here is the kicker: “Had that portion of the decline in the labor force participation rate since 2007 that is attributable to neither the aging of the baby boomers nor the downturn in the business cycle (on the basis of the experience in previous downturns) not occurred, the unemployment rate in the fourth quarter of 2011 would have been about 1¼ percentage points higher than the actual rate of 8.7 percent” translation: CBO just admitted that the BLS numbers are bogus and real unemployment is 10%. Obama’s $500 Million Stimulus-Funded Green Jobs Training Program Has 10% Success Rate

Everything associated with Obama ends in failure!

WASHINGTON – House Republicans are expanding their probe into the Obama administration’s energy programs, investigating $500 million in green job training grants that reached just 10% of its job-placement goal, according to a government report.

The program’s goal was to train 124,893 people and put 79,854 in jobs. But 17 months later, 52,762 were trained and 8,035, or roughly 1 in 10, had jobs. Those numbers come from an audit by the Department of Labor‘s inspector general, which recommended that the administration end the program and return unspent money.

President Obama has made green jobs a cornerstone of his economic agenda. In his first 2012 campaign ad this month, he said clean energy industries created 2.7 million jobs and were “expanding rapidly.” But Republicans have pounced on failures, such as the bankruptcy of Solyndra, a solar panel maker backed with a Department of Energy loan guarantee.

Citing what he calls “abysmal results” in the job training program, House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., is demanding answers about how the Department of Labor awarded the grants, which were funded out of the 2009 stimulus bill.

But Assistant Secretary of Labor Jane Oates defends the initiative, saying the inspector general’s audit used old numbers and that it was never designed to provide immediate results.

I guess Obama lied because I remember him saying these were “shovel-ready” jobs and later admitted there were no such thing as “shovel-ready” jobs.

Why is Obama Ducking the Press and White House Press Corp?

It’s because he can’t handle the pressure of answering questions without his teleprompter. It’s also because of all the corruption and controversy surrounding him. He doesn’t want to answer to questions about his bankrupting America green energy scheme, which has seen a number of Obama supported corporations go bankrupt. He doesn’t want to answer questions about the Fast and Furious gun trafficking scheme that killed a border agent and thousands of Mexicans. He doesn’t want to discuss his unconstitutional, not in recess recess appointments. He doesn’t want to talk about his 3rd debt ceiling increase in 3 years (all in one year). He doesn’t want to talk about any of his policies that have been abject failures over the past three years.

Obama is afraid of the truth getting out to his mindless, gullible followers.

President Obama is finding ways to get his message to the public without going through the White House press corps.

Obama on Monday held his “first completely virtual interview” as part of an event hosted by Google+, the social network the president called “a newfangled thing.”

The president joined a so-called “hangout”— a chat room of sorts on the social networking site — and took questions through YouTube on everything from unemployment to streamlining the federal government.

The event took place in the White House’s Roosevelt Room without the presence of television cameras or reporters.

The virtual interview is part of a larger effort by the White House to connect directly to Americans without going through the news media.

In recent months, Obama has hand-picked social media networks like Facebook and Twitter to relay his message on a variety of issues, holding town-hall meetings on both and even doing a third on LinkedIn.

Yes, the uninformed voters who hang-out on Facebook and Twitter all day. I can imagine the “informed” questions they ask Obama, compared to the seasoned White House Press Corp which know what’s going on at the White House.

And when Obama has sat down with reporters in recent months, it has been with hand-picked news outlets, which could allow the White House to better tailor the president’s message.

It’s because Obama knows these hand-picked outlets will lie and spin the truth for him. Ask Rachel Maddow (go ahead and Google her, nobody knows her) who happens to be one of many “journalists” who spins for Obama and is a frequent visitor to the White House.

…Kumar said she sympathizes with White House reporters, and acknowledged that the press conferences have become “erratic.”

But Kumar’s research indicates that Obama has held more solo White House news conferences — 17 — than his predecessor, George W. Bush, who held 11 in his first three years of office. On the other hand, Obama has held far fewer news conferences than former Presidents Clinton and George H.W. Bush, who held 31 and 56 news conferences, respectively.

Solo news conferences is different that news conferences with White Houe/media reporters.

Obama has also been less likely to answer impromptu questions at photo-ops and other spur-of-the-moment sessions with reporters. Obama has only held 94 of these fewer short question-and-answer sessions, while predecessors George W. Bush and Clinton respectively held 307 and 493 in their first three years in office.

CBO: Another $1 Trillion + Deficit…Higher Unemployment Predicted for 2012

It’s OK. Obama is only spending $1 trillion plus more that the Treasury takes in because he has enjoyed adding $6 trillion to the national debt. $6 trillion spent and all there is to show for it is a weaker economy and higher unemployment.

Also, how does the CBO get their deficit numbers when there has been no budget since April 29, 2009? This was the last time Senate Democrats passed a budget.

The Congressional Budget Office on Tuesday predicted the deficit will rise to $1.08 trillion in 2012.

The office also projected the jobless rate would rise to 8.9 percent by the end of 2012, and to 9.2 percent in 2013.

These are much dimmer forecasts than in CBO’s last report in August, when the office projected a $973 billion deficit. The report reflects weaker corporate tax revenue and the extension for two months of the payroll tax holiday.

Two Days Before AG Holder Testifies About Fast and Furious Gun Trafficking Scandal, Democrats Release Report “Absolving” Obama Regime’s From Responsibility

Democrats are delusional and desperate. All the evidence points to a top-down cover-up from the Department of Justice to the ATF to the Obama administration. The investigation hasn’t concluded, yet Democrats are already releasing a report absolving the Obama regime and his DOJ from responsibility. Give me a break.

Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Tuesday are expected to publish a report on the disputed gun trafficking investigation called Operation Fast and Furious, concluding that agents in Arizona — not Obama administration officials — were responsible for the tactics used in the inquiry and for providing misleading information relayed to Congress.

In an 89-page report, titled “Fatally Flawed: Five Years of Gun-walking in Arizona,” the Democratic staff portrays Fast and Furious as the fourth investigation, dating back to 2006, in which Arizona-based agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives employed the tactic “gun-walking” — failing to interdict illegally purchased guns in an attempt to build a bigger case.

“This report debunks many unsubstantiated conspiracy theories,” Representative Elijah E. Cummings, Democrat of Maryland, wrote in a cover letter. “Contrary to repeated claims by some, the committee has obtained no evidence that Operation Fast and Furious was a politically motivated operation conceived and directed by high-level Obama administration political appointees at the Department of Justice.”

It was paid for by Obama’s stimulus, page 407, written and passed by Democrats. Attorney General Holder, appointed by Obama, bragged about the operation and then lied by claiming he had no knowledge of the gun trafficking scheme. Then we have the head of the US Attorney’s Office, under Holder’s command, refusing to testify and pleading the 5th. Obama knew about it before Holder (though Holder is lying through his teeth) and order the operation. Democrats don’t want you to believe your lying eyes…

Still, because the report was written by Democrats, the political impact of its conclusion exonerating high-level officials of wrongdoing may be limited. Its publication comes two days before Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. is to testify before the committee. In previous hearings, Republicans have accused the department of sanctioning the tactics and lying to Congress.

In Fast and Furious, which ran from late 2009 to early 2011, A.T.F. officials lost track of about 2,000 guns purchased by suspected “straw buyers.” Many weapons are believed to have reached a Mexican drug cartel. Two guns linked to the investigation were found at the site of a shootout in which a Border Patrol agent, Brian Terry, was killed.

Recently turned-over e-mails show an aide to AG Holder informed Holder about the death and gun connection the same day of Terry’s murder.

Oakland Mayor Jean Quan came out in strong support for the Occupy Oakland movement when it first started up. Her husband and daughter worked with the Occupiers and Quan is a radical protester herself. She slammed her own city’s police force for dealing with the violent thugs illegally occupying spaces all over Oakland. Now she has to eat crow and show the destruction cause by the movement she whole-heartily supports.

Every city that has these Occupier goons has seen an increase in crime rates. This is the movement that Obama says is just like the Tea Party, where the number of arrests, murders, rapes and vandalism still stands at ZERO!

Florida RNC Ad Slams Hillary-Supporting Debbie Wasserman Shultz and Obama (Video)

The Republican National Committee is launching a new web video hitting President Obama on the state of Florida’s economy and using footage of one of his staunchest public advocates.

In the new web ad entitled “Not Up to the Job” to be released Monday, the RNC reminds voters that Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.) opposed Obama and backed then New York Sen. Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Democratic nomination contest.

The web video shows footage of Rep. Wasserman Schultz praising then candidate-Clinton and leading supporters in a chant of “Hillary.”

On-screen text reminds viewers that “Debbie Wasserman Schultz refused to endorse Barack Obama in the 2008 Florida primary.”

The text then presents statistics about Florida’s economy “four years later, under President Obama” including figures claiming a 9.9 percent unemployment rate in the state, 1.1 million new foreclosures and a 650,000 more state residents below the poverty line.

“In 2008, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz knew Obama wasn’t up to the job… Four years later, we all do,” concludes the on-screen text.

Political Theater: Obama Will Not Include the “Buffett Rule” In His 2013 Budget

It’s all political theater and class warfare rhetoric from Obama. He continues to sell his fraudulent “Buffett Rule” while using Buffett’s rich secretary as a pawn. If Obama truly believes in his “Buffett Rule,” why is he keeping it out of his 2013 budget? After all, he spent most of his time talking about “fairness” during his SOTU address.

“The defining issue of our time is how to keep that promise alive,” he added. “No challenge is more urgent. No debate is more important.”

Obama spoke as the top Republican candidates for the presidency are debating economic fairness on their own terms, with Romney, a former venture-capital chief executive, defending his large income and relatively low tax rate.

Romney released tax returns Tuesday that show he paid an effective tax rate of 13.9 percent on his 2010 income of $21.6 million. He estimates payment of an effective rate of 15.4 percent on income of $20.9 million in 2011 — below the rate that the White House says many middle-class families pay.

To make the case for a host of economic proposals he is likely to unveil in the speech, Obama invited the billionaire investor Warren Buffett’s secretary, Debbie Bosanek, to sit with the first lady in the House chamber for the speech.

Bosanek is the inspiration for the president’s call for wealthier Americans to pay a higher tax rate, known as the “Buffett rule,” which Obama first announced in September but described Tuesday in the most detail to date.

Bosanek is a pawn and she is possibly one of those rich people Obama claims are “millionaires and billionaires” who makes $200,000 plus.

The Buffett rule — which the president said was developed after the billionaire investor said he paid a lower effective tax rate than his secretary — forms a key component of Obama’s plan to boost short-term spending to help create jobs for the middle class.

But Obama’s advisers said he will not include the tax rate or the deductions he believes should be eliminated for the wealthiest Americans in his budget, which he is scheduled to present next month. As a result, it serves more as a political marker than a firm proposal.

Yes, Obama is violating the law by not submitting his budget on the first Monday in February. Then on top of it, the blow-hard isn’t going to put his main proposal in his budget. He knows the Republican House wouldn’t pass it anyway.
