Union Goons for Obama

As I continue to say, all Democrats have is lie and are doing so to distract everyone’s attention away from Obama’s failed record. The desperation is pathetic.

From ABC News:

The Democratic National Convention on Wednesday featured three speakers billed as “former employees of companies controlled by Bain Capital.”

They each told compelling stories about jobs lost, allegedly because of the actions of Bain under Romney’s leadership.

But it turns out one of those employees never actually worked for a company controlled by Bain Capital.
David Foster was supposedly one of those former employees on the convention schedule. He told the story about 750 steelworkers who lost their jobs when the Bain-controlled company GST steel filed for bankruptcy in the early 1990s.

“In 2001, with GST bankrupt and Romney still CEO of Bain, I stood in front of hundreds of steelworkers in their 50s and 60s, and retirees in their 70s and 80s, and told them Romney and Bain had broken their promises. Jobs, vacation pay, severance, health insurance and pension benefits that were promised — they were all gone,” he said. Read his full speech here

But Foster, according to a former spokesman for GST Steel, never actually worked for the company.
“David Foster was never an employee of GST Steel’s Kansas City plant. He was employed by the United Steelworkers of America as their regional union director to represent GST Steel, but was not employed at our facility,” according to BC Huselton, who was head of HR at GST.
Instead, Foster was a union organizer, who negotiated for workers that did work for the company.
Foster explained in his remarks that he was an organizer during his dealings with GST Steel. But it is not clear from the remarks that he never worked for a company controlled by Bain.

The Obama campaign used Joe Soptic in one of their campaign ads then Obama’s Super PAC, Priorities USA,  used Soptic to fraudulently claim Mitt Romney was responsible for her death from cancer. Some how, the Federal Election Committee hasn’t fined Team Obama for working with his Super PAC. Obama’s Deputy Campaign manager boldly lies much like Obama.

Soptic’s wife had insurance and died 7 years after Romney left Bain Capital. The truth means nothing to Team Obama whose campaign strategy is to distort, distract and lie in order to win at all costs.

North Korea would be proud of the dedicate Chicagoans who worship their own dear leader: Obama!

It should be pointed out that Baskin-Robbins is owned by “evil” Bain Capital, Mitt Romney’s old corporation.

From Chicago Tribune, via Drudge Report:

She was an attorney at a big Chicago law firm. He was a Harvard Law student who landed a job there as a summer associate. He was immediately smitten. She wasn’t so sure. But he won her over, and the couple sealed their budding romance with a kiss at the Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop in Hyde Park.

So goes the story of how Michelle and Barack Obama fell in love in 1989. And on Wednesday, a historical marker went up at the corner of Dorchester Avenue and 53rd Street noting the exact location where the couple had their first smooch.

A quote from President Obama, taken from an interview published in “O, The Oprah Magazine” in February 2007, is inscribed beneath an embedded photo of the couple.

On our first date, I treated her to the finest ice cream Baskin-Robbins had to offer, our dinner table doubling as the curb. I kissed her, and it tasted like chocolate.”

As landscapers added the finishing touches, placing orange impatiens around the boulder placed in a flower bed near the entrance of the Dorchester Commons shopping center, curious residents trickled by to snap pictures.

Just keep pointing out facts about Obama the hypocrite.

From TPM:

“President Obama has based his entire reelection campaign on a vicious, dishonest assault on Mitt Romney’s business career,” Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said in a statement. “The real question for President Obama is this: if Bain Capital is so bad, why have you taken nearly $120,000 in donations from them? President Obama’s actions are the heightof hypocrisy.”

I love the documented lies from Obama. Team Obama ran an ad attacking Mitt Romney and blaming him for the GST Steel layoffs.

Kansas City’s GST Steel had been making steel rods for 105 years when Romney and his partners took control in 1993. They cut corners and extracted profit from the business at every turn, placing it deeply in debt. When the company eventually declared bankruptcy, workers not only lost their jobs but were denied their full pensions and health insurance, and the government was forced to step in and provide a bailout.

Only one problem. It’s a lie. Romney wasn’t over Bain Capital. Obama bundler, Jonathan Lavine was.

From ChuckStowe:

Blaming Governor Romney for any issues surrounding the failure of GST is wrong and it is a blatant lie. Mitt Romney had been long gone when the company started to fail and subsequently closed it doors. When are the President and his campaign hacks going to get the story correct? When are they going to get back to their economy and its dreadful condition? Mr. President, you can run but you cannot hide.

It turns out that Jonathan Lavine, current Obama bundler, was actually in charge, at Bain, during that period, when the layoffs occurred. Oops, that isn’t right, is it? Yes, that story is the one that needs to be reported on. Sorry Mr. President, your lies are just getting to be more than many of us are able to handle.

Jonathan Levine is a top Obama bundler….

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks Federal Election Commission data, Obama has collected $118,121 from donors who list Bain as their employer between June 2004 and May 2012. The period covers Obama’s bid for the Senate and his presidential campaigns.

One of Obama’s top campaign financiers - Jonathan Lavine - is also managing director at Bain, bundling between $100,000 and $200,000 in contributions for the 2012 Obama Victory Fund, according to estimates released by the Obama campaign. The president has also relied on other leading figures in the private equity sector as hosts for high-dollar fundraisers and as members of his Jobs Council.

Lavine is owner of the Boston Celtics and has a history of presiding over Bain during layoffs. Team Obama has been caught lying about Romney’s record. This isn’t the first time.

Jonathan Lavine is a long-time Bain Capital executive and co-owner of the Boston Celtics. He is also one of President Obama’s most prolific fundraisers. He has already raised more than $200,000 for the Obama campaign this election, according to Federal Election Commission records.

Lavine started working for Bain in 1993. He was one of three Bain executives who served on the board of directors of Ampad for several years, a post he held until 1999. Here’s a news release announcing his departure from the company in April 1999.

Lavine’s placement on the board of Ampad suggests he had a more direct role than Romney in the series of events surrounding the layoffs, labor disputes and eventual bankruptcy of the Marion, Ind., factory featured in the Obama campaign video.

Obama lies because he simply can’t run on the truth about his record.

I don’t know why more political pundits ignore the fact that Jeffrey Zeints, Obama’s OMB director, is a Bain guy who happens to have married a Bain girl. Guess Bain alums, who are worth $200 Million, aren’t evil if they vote Democrat?

From Weekly Standard:

President Obama’s rhetoric would suggest that he’s against Bain (both Bain Capital, the investment firm, and Bain Consulting, the consulting firm, as he makes little distinction between the two Bains where Mitt Romney worked in the past). But Obama’s own hiring practice suggests something a little different: His own budget director is a Bain guy who married a Bain gal.

Jeff Zients is the head of the Obama administration’s Office of Management and Budget. “Like Mitt Romney, the man who would unseat his boss, Mr. Zients (rhymes with science) got his professional start at Bain Consulting,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

Zients has only praise, it would seem, for Bain:

After graduating in 1988, Mr. Zients started as a consultant at Bain & Co. in Boston, where he “fell in love with Bain’s culture, teamwork…and analytical rigor,” according to a Bain alumni newsletter. (He didn’t work with Mr. Romney, who already had left to start Bain Capital.)

At Bain, Mr. Zients reported to Mary Menell, four years his senior, who became his wife, with whom he now has four children. They were married in Mrs. Zients’s homeland of South Africa, with Nelson Mandela, her parents’ friend, in attendance.

Mr. Zients left Bain to return to Washington and become an entrepreneur. He helped run Advisory Board Co., a research firm, and its spinoff, Corporate Executive Board, which together grew to more than 1,000 employees, and launched an initial public offering for each. In 2002, Fortune magazine named Mr. Zients in its list of the 40 richest Americans under 40. His net worth is conservatively estimated at around $200 million.

After Mr. Zients donated to 2008 Democratic presidential candidates Mr. Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton, an unexpected door opened. Mr. Obama set up a new position, “chief performance officer,” to cut bureaucracy, but the original nominee was forced to withdraw over a tax controversy. A fellow entrepreneur, Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, says he floated Mr. Zients’s name.

I’m still lying for you boss!

As compared to Obama who is an admitted felon (see Obama’s book where he admits to bying/doing “blow.” Possession of cocaine is a felony offense)

From Mediaite:

On CNN’s State of the Union today, Candy Crowley grilled Obama campaign advisor David Axelrod over a comment made by a staffer that either Romney lied to the American people about his time at Bain Capital or he lied on SEC filings, which would be a felony. Axelrod carefully parsed his explanation, saying that the campaign would never accuse Romney of being a felon, just potentially engaging in activity that would be considered a felony.

Obama is a well-documented liar, double-speaker, fraud so I’m shocked the liberal defending NYTimes would point this out.

VIRGINIA BEACH — For a moment on Friday, the cyber-Barack Obama was perfectly at odds with the flesh-and-blood version.

Speaking to 1,400 supporters at a high school here, President Obama voiced his familiar lament that “there is so much negativity and so much cynicism” in politics that he could understand if voters tuned out the election. Minutes earlier on Twitter, he had written, “Why Mitt Romney’s end date at his buyout firm matters,” linking to a blog post about the tempest over his Republican challenger’s departure from Bain Capital.

Mr. Obama’s Twitter account is maintained by his campaign staff, which makes clear that only posts signed with the initials B.O. are actually written by him. That’s fairly obvious, given that on Thursday, in between pounding Mr. Romney for perceived discrepancies in the Bain story, “Barack Obama” tweeted: “Stickers! Get them here.”

But it underscores the vivid contrast between what Mr. Obama says, and what is often said in his name. The president did not address the questions about Bain Capital in his stump speech. In his first stop of the day, he even left out a line he has used about how Mr. Romney’s buyout firm was celebrated as a “pioneer” of outsourcing.

Notice that the NYTimes failed to tell readers Obama is lying about the Bain tactic?

As a busy day of campaigning unfolded, however, Mr. Obama shrugged off his reluctance to talk about Mr. Romney and Bain. The line about Bain being an outsourcing pioneer reappeared later in a speech in Hampton. And in an interview with a local TV station, WJLA, Mr. Obama said that Mr. Romney ought to answer questions about his relationship with the firm after he left in 1999 to run the Salt Lake City Olympics.

Despite being proved a liar, Obama continues the lie. Joseph Gobbels is smiling up from hell at Obama’s tactic.

“Ultimately, Mr. Romney, I think, is going to have to answer those questions because if he aspires to being president, one of the things you learn is, you are ultimately responsible for the conduct of your operations,” he said.
