Obama loves himself and loves any chance to use his face for his propaganda campaign.

From ABC News:

Using a special basketball festooned with his own image, President Obama shot some hoop today with former NBA players, Harlem Globetrotters and kids attending the White House Easter Egg Hunt. The balls with the presidential face were brought for by the NBA  players who came to the event, White House officials said.

The “Shoot for Strength” activity took place on the White House basketball court, where Daryll “Chocolate Thunder” Dawkins and legendary shooting guard Mitch Richmond joined Globetrotters’ Herb Lang, Fatima Maddox, Jacob Tucker and Wun Versher to conduct drills with kids. The drill consisted of the kids doing pushups every time the professional players or President Obama scored.

In his first three shots he went 0 for 3. He missed seven shots before sinking his first.

It wouldn’t surprise me. Obama enjoys his sports and doesn’t mind blowing taxpayer dollars to watch them.

From SayAnythingBlog:

Reporters were perplexed, recently, when President Obama’s airplane took an extra 30 minutes to fly from Washington DC to Florida, where the President bashed Republicans over oil prices. What explained the delay? There’s apparently no official explanation, but that the plane finally landed just at half time in the Knicks game is, I’m sure, just a coincidence:

President Obama flew to Florida this past week to explain high gas prices. According to the Washington Post, on his way to Florida this past Thursday, reporters were “perplexed” at the President’s 41 minute flight from Washington, DC to Orlando, Florida taking 1 hour and 15 minutes. The flight was in the air an extra 30 minutes, burningprecious fossil fuels.

It does not seem a coincidence that the President landed right at half time of an NBAbasketball game between the star studded Miami Heat and New York Knicks. Some theorized that the President delayed his flight in the air to watch more of the basketball game.

Obama is truly incompetent and feckless. As the U.S., and the world around him burns, Obama is still voting ‘present.’ The U.S. has a deficit crisis, which he added to, and instead of working with Congress to get things under control, O passes responsibility like a point guard. Is there any crisis that grabs Obama’s attention besides spending, sports, partying and fundraising?

Does Obama not know that the world, and taxpayers, are watching. As Japan faces three national disasters with the earthquakes, tsunami and nuclear plant meltdowns, Obama was out golfing. Our U.S. soldiers were rushing to aid our Japanese allies and were contaminated with nuclear matter. Where was Obama? He was cutting jokes at the Gridiron Dinner, ordering theMarine Band to play ““Born in the U.S.A.” As Americans and our allies struggle, Obama is absent. The world is having a few problems and Obama is taking on non-existent ones. Americans need jobs and instead of turning his ‘laser-focus’ on this, Obama is talking about bullies and celebrating “Women’s History Month.”

This past week, Obama was very busy handling the small stuff. Wednesday, we found Obama watching the Charlotte Bobcats vs. Chicago Bulls. Yes, Obama invited politicians and friends from both cities to come and watch the game at the White House. Charlotte is where the DNC is holding its national convention.

Then on Thursday, Obama held his conference on bullying. Then on Friday, Obama was at the White House, honoring the Stanley Cup Champions. On Saturday, he was on the links, playing his 61st round of golf.

Now as we watch the disasters add up in Japan and Libya, we learn Obama is making his NCAA tournament picks. Politicians from both political parties are asking why Obama is so aloof and passes responsibilities on important issues such as the budget debate. Americans are realizing that Obama was a mistake, thus his approval rating is at 43%. Only the hardcore ideologues still support the ineptness.

When will Obama start taking responsibility and start acting like a president instead of a college slacker who still enjoys partying and sports? The world is watching while Obama is dithering on his job responsibilities. It’s hard work when you concentrate on all the unimportant issues and fail to lead.

This will be another hard week for Obama. Thursday Obama will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by brewing beer for a party and then he is off to Brazil on Friday for a Latin-American tour.

Being President is a hard job. When will Obama start being one?

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, can stop Obama from sports or partying. The “I will never rest” President will once again turn his laser-like focus away from the economy, unemployment, record-setting monthly budget deficits, government shutdown and rising gas prices to hold a party where guests will watch basketball.

Mark Knoller tweets…

In the evening, Pres Obama hosts viewing party to watch the Chicago Bulls v. Charlotte Bobcats game.”

WH says guests for the basketball watch party include members of Congress from Chicago & Charlotte.”

Maybe they can work on the budget during half-time and timeouts.”

And it must be pointed out that Obama met with the Boston Celtics to fundraise for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Sports, partying and fundraising seems to be all this President does. It also explains why things have gotten worse during his two years of being slacker-in-chief.

Parties, plays basketball and reads a teleprompter. The daily activities of President Obama.

This could be great news for America but Obama has already spent enough time playing golf and basketball on top of taking vacations, attending parties and fundraising for his Democrat cohorts. Less Obama in the White House sounds good to most.

The Hill reports:

President Obama will spend more time outside of Washington, D.C. next year engaging with the public, according to a top White House adviser and close friend of the president.

One year before Obama faces reelection, he is expected to make a greater effort to connect with potential voters after facing charges being too aloof during his first two years in the Oval Office.

The president’s “biggest regret” was that because of economic turmoil, “He had to spend almost every waking hour in Washington working on solving that crisis,” senior adviser Valerie Jarrett said during an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “And what he missed sorely was engagement with the American people.

“He said right before he left for vacation was, ‘When I get back, I really want to figure out a way where I can spend more time outside of Washington listening, learning and engaging with the American people,’” she added. “We’re determined in the new year to make sure that his schedule reflects his priority.”

Obama wants to spend more time with the commoners…just as soon as he returns from another vacation. Then he wants to leave Washington to travel more. That’s the laser-like focus Obama has and the reason things are worse since he took office. Leave Washington while unemployment is creeping towards 10% and the records for bankruptcies, foreclosures and Americans on food stamps continue to rise.

Or maybe Obama is tired of the golf courses around Washington, D.C.?

Hey President...the economy is sinking and people want jobs. Obama: Let me finish another game of basketball and I'll be right on it

On Friday, Obama skipped out on his press conference and left the Presidential duties to ex-President Bill Clinton. Today Obama got back to doing presidential duties…by playing basketball.

From the L.A. Times:

It’s becoming an annual tradition.

The Lakers win a championship. The Lakers have a victory parade. The Lakers visit President Obama the next season when they cruise through Washington.

They met him at the White House last season and they are scheduled to see Obama again Monday at a Boys & Girls Club in the city, where they will be conducting a clinic with elementary-school children and perhaps playing some light one-on-one with the president.

Parties, golf and basketball. The hard life of a baller-in-chief.

The baller-in-chief took another shellacking except this time it was on the basketball court. It’s seems the big-mouth president got elbowed on his constantly moving lips and required 12 stitches to close the wounds. It’s too bad the doctor couldn’t sow his lips together, thus saving Americans from having to listen to him campaign for the next two years.

Politico reports:

President Obama had his lip treated with 12 stitches after he was hit by the elbow of one of the players joining him in a post-Thanksgiving basketball game.

“After being inadvertently hit with an opposing player’s elbow in the lip while playing basketball with friends and family, the President received 12 stitches today administered by the White House Medical Unit,” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said in a statement. “They were done in the doctor’s office located on the ground floor of the White House.”

The pool adds: “The medical unit that treated Obama used a smaller filament than typically used, which increases the number of stitches but makes a tighter stitch and results in a smaller scar. Obama was given a local anesthetic while receiving the stitches.”

Obama was playing basketball with Reggie Love and members of his family.
