Nothing new here. Holder’s DOJ refused to prosecute the New Black Panthers, refuse to enforce immigration laws, refuse to sue sanctuary cities who violate immigration laws and refuse to investigate Obama’ national security leaks. Here’s another case that involves race and once again, the DOJ fails to do it’s job due to the subject’s race.

MOBILE, Ala. — A Freedom of Information Act request last week showed that the Department of Justice dropped a sexual abuse civil rights investigation the day after President Barack Obama’s inauguration, citing “conflict of interest.”

In 2009, Herman Thomas, a black Democratic judge who had been elected numerous times in an Alabama county with predominantly white and Republican population, saw what had been a promising career come to an abrupt halt after he was indicted on charges of sodomy, kidnapping, sex abuse, extortion, assault and ethics violations. According to the indictment, Thomas was accused of sexually abusing male inmates in exchange for leniency. [Emphasis added]

According to information received in the FOIA request by Lagniappe, a bi-weekly Mobile, Ala.-based alternative newspaper, an order was sent on Jan. 21, 2009, to drop the investigation citing an undisclosed “conflict of interest.” Ten of 11 pages were withheld in the returned FOIA request.

Though evidence against Thomas was strong, including one of the alleged victims’ semen being found on his office’s carpet, the Mobile County District Attorney’s office did not secure a full guilty verdict. The jury acquitted Thomas on major counts, and was gridlocked on others.

Despite the gridlocked charges, the trial judge directed a verdict on all counts in favor of Thomas.

But that finding did not mean Thomas had been fully cleared of the federal charges he could be facing on civil rights counts — at least that’s what the public thought at the time.

But as it turned out, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Alabama had dropped their investigation, even before the local trial had taken place.

Former Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson, a Democrat whose office was behind the original indictment of Thomas, had looked for federal authorities to handle some of the heavy lifting, specifically the civil rights violations. He said federal authorities “promised me several things over the course of a year,” but they were never delivered throughout the whole ordeal.

Nancy looks extremely guilty. Notice the shifting eyes and dry mouth as Pelosi tries to avoid answering the question?

Nancy has benefited greatly since taking over as Speaker of the House in 2007. Her assets have improved by the millions. She got ObamaCare waivers for hotels, wineries, restaurants and vineyards she invested in. If 60 Minutes follows the money trail, they may win a Pulitzer for exposing the most corrupt House Speaker in history. It’ s no wonder Obama thinks Pelosi is “one of the greatest House Speakers” ever.

Hiding the sausage isn't a conflict of interest for Barney

But Barney believes there is no conflict of interest with this story and if you point out his corruption, you’re homophobic.

The Boston Herald reports:

The Fannie Mae executive who hired U.S. Rep. Barney Frank’s former lover was a campaign donor and once worked for the congressman — but denies the Newton Democrat’s recommendation played a role in the controversial 1991 hiring.

Gerald McMurray, a retired Fannie Mae senior vice president, told the Herald yesterday that Frank “didn’t have any influence” in the hiring of the congressman’s former companion, Herb Moses, to a position with the mortgage giant.

The lies continue. Barney Frank said he was approached about Moses’ resume and put in a good “word” for him.

“I put out a notice that I needed a person with a rural economic development background and I got a number of resumes. Herb’s resume came in and . . . he came in for an interview,” said McMurray, who now lives in Vermont. “I didn’t know there was any relationship between he and Barney until (Moses) told me.”

But Barney said everyone knew they were a couple. I’m betting Barney is the catcher. Whatcha think?

In a front-page story in yesterday’s Herald, Frank admitted he helped Moses land the plum post but called questions about a potential conflict “nonsense.”

At the time of the meeting, Frank was a junior member of the Financial Services Committee, which regulates Fannie Mae and other lending institutions.

It should also be noted that Frank’s financial reform bill conveniently leaves Freddie and Fannie free from regulations. No conflict of interest ehh?

“It’s a common thing in Washington for members of Congress to have spouses work for the federal government,” Frank said.

In Barney’s eyes, two wrongs does make it right. Corruption, brought to you by Barney Frank and the voters of Massachusetts.

More Barney Frank corruption brought to you by the idiots of Massachusetts who continue to vote him into office.

From The Boston Herald:

U.S. Rep. Barney Frank admitted he helped his ex-lover land a lucrative post with Fannie Mae in the early 1990s while the Newton Democrat was on a committee that regulated the lending giant — but he called questions of a potential ethical conflict “nonsense.”

Yes it’s “nonsense” that Frank was the biggest supporter of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and just happened to get his lover a job working at one of these GSEs. It also should be pointed out that Freddie and Fannie were not regulated under the Dodd-Frank financial reform bill. It’s all just “nonsense” to Barney.

If it is (a conflict of interest), then much of Washington is involved (in conflicts),” Frank told the Herald last night. “It is a common thing in Washington for members of Congress to have spouses work for the federal government. There is no rule against it at all.”

Frank said he helped his former longtime companion, Herb Moses, land a job at Fannie Mae in 1991 after Moses graduated with a master’s degree in business administration from Dartmouth College. Frank said he was approached by a Fannie Mae executive and vouched for Moses, who formerly worked as an economist in the Department of Agriculture.

“(The executive) said, ‘Herb applied for a job,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, I think he’d be great. He’s an economist and he’s got an MBA,’ ” Frank said, recounting the conversation. “He was hired to an entry-level position.”

Asked if he should have disclosed his efforts to help Moses land the job at Fannie Mae, Frank said: “It was widely known. It was out there in the public. It’s nonsense.”

That’s our corrupt Barney. This is the same libtard who claimed investments in Freddie and Fannie were sound and there were no finanical risks with either GSEs. We know how that turned out.

The Obama waivers are spreading and it looks like those who are friends with Obama are being rewarded greatly. Obama’s beloved unions are receiving over 40% of these waivers (733 as of today) to avoid parts of the ObamaCare mandate. The media isn’t asking if this is a conflict of interest because if they actually reported any bad news about Obama, it would be their conflict of interest.

Now we learn that the Obama regime, through E.P.A., has has issued waivers that allow another special friend, G.E., to duck their green house gas rules. You won’t hear about this on any NBC stations because G.E. is their parent company and G.E.’s CEO, Jeffrey Immelt, sits on several Obama boards.

The liberal-media refuses to report these pay-to-play favors, in the form of waivers, being doled out to unions and corporations who donated generously to Obama’s presidential campaign. It would put Obama in a bad light and as Chris Matthews stated: “My job is to make Obama’s presidency successful.”

That’s what the entire liberal media is doing. They hide the truth about this corruption and continue to cover Obama’s ass.

Snidely Whiplash

Tell me if it doesn’t seem as if this is the epitome of hypocrisy. The Fox News website headline says “Ban Judge Has Oil Investments.” The headline refers to a story about US  District Judge Martin Feldman. Feldman is the judge who lifted the deep drilling moratorium of Obama. And apparently the judge owning stocks in various oil concerns is a conflict of interest – at least to the easily outraged crowd.

But where is their selective outrage when Obama and his cronies have a clear conflict of interest in all the global climate exchanges, boards of directors on climate decision making concerns and involvement in forcing climate change legislation down the throats of the nation’s citizen’s who are very vocal we do not want it? If this isn’t blatant hypocrisy I’ll kiss your ass in the town square.

According to the AP article on Fox the judge has stock in “Ocean Energy, a Houston-based company, as well as Quicksilver Resources, Prospect Energy, Peabody Energy, Halliburton, Pengrowth Energy Trust, Atlas Energy Resources, Parker Drilling and others.” The Judge’s holdings are part of a 2008 financial disclosure report.

So I would assume the article is calling into question the judge’s ability to rule by law and not his portfolio. Okay. If that’s the standard, fine by me. But that standard better be applied evenly across the board.

Why is it when there is the slightest hint of any possible taint with a Republican or conservative, the default position is they are guilty? And as Feldman is a Reagan appointee, clearly he’s disqualified, right friends?

But Obama sits in Rev Wright’s church for 20 years and he never heard a word. Terrorist Bill Ayers being his close pal and co-sitter on numerous boards for education, public & charitable fund disbursement and the like is nothing to be concerned about either. Thug Tony Rezko being Obama’s buddy is also of no concern at all. No, that’s part of that “vast right-wing conspiracy” Hillary was talking about.

No conflict of interest here. Obama promised a full investigation into the intelligence failures that almost caused the death of 300 airline passengers in Detroit. The problem is that the man Obama appointed to lead the probe is the same guy responsible for creating the watch-list and ran the National Counterterrorism Center.

Politico reports:

President Barack Obama promised a “thorough review” of the government’s terrorist watch-list system after a Nigerian man reported to U.S. government officials by his father to have radicalized and gone missing last month was allowed to board a Northwest Airlines flight to Detroit that he later tried to blow up without any additional security screening.

Yet the individual Obama has chosen to lead the review, White House counter-terrorism adviser John Brennan, served for 35 years in the CIA, helped design the current watch-list system and served as interim director of the National Counterterrorism Center, whose role is under review.

In the three years before joining the Obama administration, Brennan was president and CEO of The Analysis Corp., an intelligence contracting firm that worked closely with the National Counterterrorism Center and other U.S. government intelligence, law enforcement and homeland security agencies on developing terrorism watch-lists. …

According to financial disclosures forms released by the White House, Brennan served as president and CEO of TAC from November 2005 until January 2009, when Obama named him to the White House terrorism and homeland security job. The disclosures show that Brennan reported earning a $783,000 annual salary from The Analysis Corp. in 2008.

The forms also show that Brennan sat on the board of directors for TAC’s parent company, Global Strategic Group, from August 2007 until January 2009. Brennan’s ties to the system he is now charged with reviewing could raise questions about the independence of Obama’s review. One former senior intelligence official told POLITICO it is “unsavory to see Obama put Brennan in charge of a review of this matter since it is possible that NCTC or TAC could have failed in their responsibilities.”

Isn’t this the same thing ACORN did? Hire someone with close ties to investigate a corrupt and failed system so you can receive the outcome you want? Obama and his cloudy transparency strikes again. Hiring the same guy who created and ran the watch-list to probe his own system. I’m sure the results will turn out just the way Obama demands them to. Congress should open its own independent investigation but with the likes of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, our national security is at risk.

But of course, only Bush loved his cronies. Oops, Brennan was employed under Bush and is now employed under Obama thus again proving there has been zero change. Isn’t Obama against the status quo?
