Kerry would know. He’s spent millions of his wife’s billions to keep his corrupt self in corrupt Washington. The guy Kerry supported, Obama, has collected the most money of any US politician in history. I guess Kerry is right because the government has been no more corrupt than the one we currently have.

Poll: 46% Think Most in Congress are Corrupt
Posted in Political Issues, tagged Congress, corruption, Democrats on July 27, 2011 | Leave a Comment »
Only 46% think Congress is corrupt? Seriously? 54% of Americans are idiots!
From Rasmussen Reports:
Voters are more convinced than ever that most congressmen are crooks.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters now view most members of Congress as corrupt. That’s up seven points from June and the highest finding yet recorded. Just 29% think most members are not corrupt, and another 25% are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Thanks to those sexually perverted Democrats (Weiner/Wu) and tax cheats like Charlie Rangel.
Similarly, a whopping 85% of voters think most members of Congress are more interested in helping their own careers than in helping other people. That’s a record high for surveys stretching back to early November 2006. Only seven percent (7%) believe most of the legislators are more interested in helping others.
Obama meeting with Gabon President Ali Bongo…another corrupt Muslim leader

As we have come to discover, Obama has a tendency to hang around with corrupt individuals and dictators.
From ABCNews:
ABC News’ Mary Bruce Reports: This afternoon, President Obama will meet with President Ali Bongo of Gabon in the Oval Office, despite the visiting leader’s reputation for corruption.
Obama does love his radical Muslims.
According to the White House, the two will discuss “strategic regional and bilateral topics of mutual importance, including the latest developments in the areas of security, democracy, governance, and economic growth.”
In Wednesday’s briefing, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney justified today’s meeting by highlighting Bongo’s position this month as the head of the UN Security Council and his “very helpful” votes on issues like Cote d’Ivoire, Libya and Iran.
This is the U.N. that is fully funded by the U.S. taxpayers. Bongo being appointed as head of the UN Security Council is just another reason the US should leave the UN and stop paying for its corruption.
“[Gabon has] been an important ally in our efforts in those countries through the United Nations. So, yes, we do think it is appropriate for the president to meet with the leader of Gabon,” he said.
Asked the allegations of corruption against Bongo, Carney said “the president of the United States is meeting with the president, as he does with other heads of state who have less than sterling, perhaps, records… The president of Gabon is making reform efforts, which we support.”
Guess What Party? Convicted Mayor wants his unpaid Sick and Vacation Time

Reading the article, one would never know the party affiliation behind this corrupt mayor.
HARTFORD, Conn — Convicted former Hartford Mayor Eddie Perez is seeking more than $130,000 in unused sick and vacation time.
Bart Halloran, Perez’s attorney, has sent to Hartford’s director of human resources asking the former mayor be paid for 1,200 hours of unused vacation and 768 of unused sick time.
Perez was convicted of using a city contractor to have free work done at his home and could be going to prison.
The former mayor’s criminal conviction doesn’t change the fact he was a city employee, said Saundra Kee Borges with the city’s Corporation Counsel.
Hartford Mayor Pedro E. Segarra said in a statement that he refused to pay Perez’s unused vacation and sick time because the information the city received from Perez’s attorney was not verifiable.
“I as Mayor, cannot afford to be misled and that’s why I have instructed the office of Corporation Counsel to work with the Human Resources Department to review and closely analyze any and all documentation provided by Mr. Perez or his attorney and to take this matter to arbitration to ensure that the residents’ interests are properly protected,” Segarra’s statement said.
What party does the Mayor belong to? DEMOCRAT, but reporting that goes against the media narrative.
Chicago Public School Bans Kids Bringing Lunch from Home

In yet another example of the progressive hypocrisy that “conservatives want to legislate everyone’s private life,” enjoy the Chicago Tribune’s headline “Chicago School Bans Some Lunches Brought From Home.”
Keep in mind that Chicago is one of the mega centers of progressivism in this nation. Chitown is a haven of Democrats and their political machinery. In fact when I hear the phrase “political machine” my mind flashes to Tammany Hall at the turn of the 20th Century and current day Chicago and the Daley Machine. This should not be confused with the entrenchment of nutty progressives and greenies in San Fran, the Pacific Northwest, Madison, Ann Arbor, Berkeley and sundry other places where lefties rule the social roost if not the political roost.
I want to use this event to highlight the lefty hypocrisy. Of course I think most right minded Americans agree it’s not the business of schools to tell kids their parent’s cannot pack their lunches. That is asinine. I would also argue the fiscal burden of parents to foot the bill for school lunches as packing a lunch is clearly cheaper than to buy lunch on a daily basis, but keep in mind more than likely the lefties will pay for every kid’s lunch too, so no financial objections, please!
Is this silly and misguided policy a financial one to enrich progressive desires as, according to the Trib article “Any school that bans homemade lunches also puts more money in the pockets of the district’s food provider, Chartwells-Thompson. The federal government pays the district for each free or reduced-price lunch taken, and the caterer receives a set fee from the district per lunch.” See how it works? One hand feeds the other.
One parent applauds the policy. “Parent Miguel Medina said he thinks the “no home lunch policy” is a good one. “The school food is very healthy,” he said, “and when they bring the food from home, there is no control over the food.” (my emphasis). CONTROL, huh? Gee, isn’t that making my point for me?
Let the Chicago Corruption Begin…Emanuel aid resigns over ethics violation

Did we expect anything different?
(CNN) – A co-chair of Chicago mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel’s transition team resigned from her new post Friday after it was revealed that she left her high-level state job last summer over ethics violations, CNN confirmed Saturday.
Judy Erwin previously served as the executive director of the Illinois Board of Higher Education and served on then-candidate Barack Obama’s Education Policy Committee during his 2008 presidential campaign. On Thursday, she was named to Emanuel’s transition team and according to a news release, Erwin was also recently hired as managing director for ASGK Public Strategies, the communication management firm founded by former Obama senior adviser David Axelrod.
But a recent decision by the state Executive Ethics Commission says Erwin used her state e-mail account and phone to campaign for Obama, engaging in campaign fundraising activity and using staff resources to help plan her trip to the 2008 Democratic National Convention. The filing states that Erwin stepped down from her position at the Board of Education on August 15.
It’s the Chicago way!
