Sen. Ted Cruz Destroys Left-wing Gun Myths and Their Assault Weapons Ban at Gun Control Hearing (Video)

Semiautomatic rifles, with cosmetic accessories, scare left-wing no-nothings who are not educated on guns. Hypocrites, like Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif) , love to protect themselves with armed security and even with personal weapons (see Feinstein’s concealed carry permit) but do not want law-abiding citizens to be able to easily protect themselves from violent liberal criminals (they tend to be very liberal with laws). Sen. Ted Cruz destroys the entire myth being push by left-wing progressives who hate the US Constitution (how many Democrats are calling for unconstitutional actions?) and want to make it harder for law-abiding citizens to get a firearm while ignoring the criminals that disobey gun laws.

Gun Control Works? Chicago Reaches 40 Homicides in January

How can this be? Left-wing gun-grabbers tell us that gun control is for our protection yet Chicago with some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation continues to be the murder capital of the US.

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -A bloody weekend in which eight people were killed and six wounded has put an abrupt end — at least for now — to hopes that Chicago was at least putting a lid on his frightening homicide rate.

With a few days left in the month, the nation’s third-largest city now finds itself on the cusp of its deadliest January in more than a decade. The news comes just after Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy had announced that after several violent months, Chicago had seen a drop in homicides at the end of 2012 and for the first few weeks of 2013.

Police say the homicide rate is a reflection of the city’s gang problem and a proliferation of guns. Chicago has for years tried to cut off the flow of guns. It has what city officials have called the strictest handgun ordinance in the U.S. But police officials say more needs to be done and that penalties for violating gun laws should be stiffer.

They blame the guns for the killings but not the gangbangers who are pulling the trigger. Typical left-wing lunacy.

Another Obama Lie: Obama Claims to Go Skeet Shooting “All the Time,” Yet No Pictures Exist of These Skeet Shooting Events

In an attempt to ease concerns over his gun-grabbing agenda, President Obama claimed he supports hunting traditions and let this lie fly out. In an interview with New Republic, when asked if he has ever fired a gun, Obama replied:

“Yes, in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time.”

He must do this invisibly because if you Google it you will find zero photographs to back up Obama’s claim. If you Google “Obama + skeet shooting + Camp David” you get ZERO images. Google “Obama + skeet shooting” you get ZERO images. Google “Obama + shooting skeet” and you get ZERO images of Obama doing what he claimed to do “all the time.”

Obama does this all the time but the media will never question his lies. They’ve invested way too much into his presidency to expose people to the fact that Obama is a pathological liar. Obama has often made up fictional stories when speaking. Obama claimed his birth, in 1961, was due to the Selma March that happened in 1965. Obama claimed his uncle liberated Auschwitz but failed to mention that his mom had no brothers and not knowing that the Russian army actually did the liberating.  Obama also used a lot of fiction when “writing” his autobiography.

Obama has no problem telling lies in order to trick his gullible followers.

Columbine: Too young to vote; both families were registered Democrats and progressive liberals.

Virginia Tech: Wrote hate mail to President Bush and to his staff.

Colorado Theater: Registered Democrat; staff worker on the Obama campaign; Occupy Wall Street participant; progressive liberal.

Connecticut School Shooter: Registered Democrat; hated Christians.

Since liberal progressive Democrats seem to hate guns, and due to their history of mental illness, maybe we should demand a weapons ban to all registered Democrats? After all, 99% of those behind bars vote Democrat because they tend to be liberal with laws. Liberalism is a disease.

On August 1, 2009–just seven months into President Barack Obama’s first term–former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin predicted Obama would attempt to leverage health care to “take away” the Second Amendment rights of Americans.

In a speech to National Rifle Association members in Anchorage, Alaska, Palin said Americans should be “wary” of this “tie-in” because Obama would attempt to “take away our rights under the guise of some new health care plan”:

And by the way, [with] health care being so big in D.C. right now, be wary when some kind of tie-in occurs. Because it will crop up: a tie-in with guns in an attempt to take away our rights under the guise of some new health care plan. You know that this is coming–that the two issues will somehow crop up and they’ll be tied together. So we have to be very wary of that.

On Wednesday–more than three years after Palin’s warning–Obama did exactly what the former governor forecasted.

During a press conference wherein he issued 23 executive actions regarding guns and unveiled his gun control proposals, including a ban on so-called assault weapons, Obama said “doctors and other health care providers also need to be able to ask about firearms in their patients’ homes and safe storage of those firearms, especially if their patients show signs of certain mental illnesses or if they have a young child or mentally ill family member at home.”

To make it easier for doctors to do so, Obama also issued executive actions that would “clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.” The White House also released “a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.”

In Obama’s gun control plan, which the White House released on Wednesday, there is a section titled “Preserve The Rights of Mental Health Care Providers To Protect Their Patients and Communities From Gun Violence.”

Virginia Dem. Lawmaker Brings AK-47 onto House Floor to Push for Gun Ban

Democrats want to ban guns simply because they’re scary looking and because they know an unarmed society is easier to enslave.

A Richmond-area lawmaker brandished an AK-47 on the floor of the Virginia House of Delegates on Thursday in a wild stunt aimed at rallying support for tougher gun laws.

Del. Joe Morrissey, D-Highland Springs, pulled the weapon out shortly after the day’s session got underway, a time when legislators typically welcome school groups and other visitors in the chamber’s gallery.

Morrissey assured his colleagues the gun was not loaded and pointed it toward the ceiling as he pleaded for Republican House Speaker Bill Howell to help push through a subcommittee the assault weapons ban that Morrissey is proposing.

There is no such thing as an assault weapon. It’s a liberal created term used to confuse and scare idiots. The AK-47, sold in America, only shoots one bullet like every other semiautomatic weapon. It looks scary and this scares idiots.

“A lot of people don’t know that in many locations in the commonwealth, you can take this gun, you can walk in the middle of Main Street loaded and not be in violation of the law,” Morrissey said. “Even though the law right now says you can’t bring this gun into a high school or elementary or middle school, there is nothing from keeping you from walking in front of [an elementary school with a gun].”

Wonder if this idiot is licensed to carry? Did he go through the FBI background check? I’m going to guess he isn’t and if he isn’t he should be the first idiot tried by the Obama administration.

Awesome: Texas AG Takes Out Ad in NY Paper Telling New Yorkers to Pack Their Guns and Move to Texas

The last thing any state needs in more liberal moochers demanding free stuff.

(Reuters) – Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott has a message for New York gun owners: Come to Texas, and bring your guns with you.

“Texas is better than New York, and New York just gave us another excuse to say that,” Abbott, a Republican, said on Thursday, after ads extolling Texas appeared on several media websites.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, signed sweeping gun-control legislation earlier this week expanding the state’s ban on assault weapons and putting limits on ammunition capacity in the wake of last month’s school shootings in Connecticut.

Abbott, a possible candidate for governor of Texas in next year’s election, used campaignmoney to buy ads on websites of news organizations in New York City and Albany.

One ad says in classic Western script: “WANTED: Law abiding New York gun owners seeking lower taxes and greater opportunities.”

Clicking on the ad leads to a Facebook page touting the virtues of Texas, including the fact that the state has no income tax so “you’ll be able to keep more of what you earn and use that extra money to buy more ammo.”

Abbott told Reuters the ads are a “way to tweak our liberal friends up in the Northeast.”

“It is tongue in cheek, but there is a deeper message here,” he said. “Texas really does stand as the last bastion of ultimate freedom in this country. Over the last decade, more than 4 million people moved to this state, and one reason is freedom and one reason is economic opportunity.”
