Democratic Strategist Warn Obama to Stop Talking about the Economy: Voters Not Buying It

Please Obama, please keep talking about how you saved the economy, the auto industry  and how the private sector is doing fine.

Democratic strategists Stanley Greenberg and James Carville have released a striking new reportarguing in stark terms that some key voting groups now reject President Obama’s claim that the economy is improving — and may well reject Obama himself in November.

Democracy Corps, the political consulting group run by Greenberg and Carville, showed several Obama campaign commercials to focus groups in Ohio and Pennsylvania.  Several of the group members, who were “all independents or weak partisans and ticket-splitters” and included both Obama and McCain voters from 2008, became irritated when shown Obama ads touting economic improvement.  They don’t see that improvement in their own lives, the report says, and they don’t believe Obama when he claims things are better.

“The spots that simply talk about progress on the economy did not do well,” Greenberg and Carville write.  “The first offered a graphic depiction of job decline during the early months of the recession and job growth under President Obama. The second highlighted progress on jobs in the automobile industry. These ads did not win over most Obama voters….Half the participants in the groups had voted for Obama, but less than a quarter gave [the auto ad] a positive rating. The spot displaying the job growth graph did not fare much better: only about one-third (12 out of 34) gave this a positive rating.”

“It’s like how things are getting better?  Where?” asked one non-college-educated woman in Columbia, Ohio.  “I don’t see it.  Makes me mad.”  Even Obama’s oft-made claim that he saved the auto industry angered some.  “The auto industry spot, surprisingly, produces a lot of resentment,” Greenberg and Carville write.  “Women in particular did not see how it related to them, and even some men working outside manufacturing thought it left them out.”  As one woman in Ohio said: “Good job for the autoworkers, but where does that leave my grandchildren?”

After extensive interviews with the groups, Greenberg and Carville conclude that Obama’s current campaign message — that he inherited a terrible economy but that now things are getting better — is disastrously wrong.  “We will face an impossible headwind in November if we do not move to a new narrative,” Greenberg and Carville write, “one that contextualizes the recovery but, more importantly, focuses on what we will do to make a better future for the middle class.”

(CNN) – A long time ago a great three-time governor of Louisiana, Earl Long, said about Jimmie Davis, the two-time not very good governor of Louisiana, “You couldn’t wake up Jimmie Davis with an earthquake.”

As I go around the country and see various Democrats and talk to them on the phone, honestly I’m beginning to think that we have become the party of Jimmie Davis.

My message is simple: WTFU. Translated — wake the you-know-what up, there is an earthquake.

You think that Democrats around the country are going to win — as I hear time and time again from people on the street.

Democratic fundraisers, activists, supporters, and even politicians alike have somehow collectively lapsed into the sentiment that the president is going to be reelected and that we have a good shot to take the House back while holding the Senate.

I ask: What are you smoking? What are you drinking? What are you snorting or just what in the hell are you thinking?

Look around the world — do you see any governments or incumbents winning any elections out there? Did it happen in small elections in Germany or Britain, big elections in France and Greece or how about huge elections in the United States in 2008 and 2010? Please folks — wake up!

The polling? Not that encouraging. The latest Democracy Corps poll was 47-47. The Real Clear Politics average of polls has the president up a whopping three-tenths of a percentage point. And I am hearing the garbage that Democratic donors are telling Democratic fundraisers …”Obama has it in the bag.”

Newsflash: Nothing is in the bag. Nothing can be taken for granted. Everybody from the precinct door-knocker, to the Chicago high command, to the White House, to the halls of Congress, to the Senate and House committees, to congressional leadership, here is a simple message: If we don’t get on the offense, reconnect with the American people, talk about how the middle class is in a struggle for its very existence, hold the Republicans accountable and fight like the dickens, we are going to lose.

Damn the left is pointy out that Obama is a fairy. First fat-ass Michael Moore told Obama to take off his tutu and now Democratic strategist James Carville is telling Obama he’s a one-ball president. Even if Hillary gave up one of her balls, Obama would still only have one.

Politico reports:

Speaking to reporters Thursday, Democratic strategist James Carville dropped this one-liner: “If Hillary gave up one of her balls and gave it to Obama, he’d have two.”

The quote was first noted by Tribune reporter Mike Memoli on his Twitter account.

Carville made his remarks at a breakfast discussion hosted by the Christian Science Monitor at Washington, D.C.’s St. Regis Hotel.

Majority Now Believe “Obama a Socialist.”

Before ya scream “Ya can’t trust FOX – they lie,” this poll is from James Carville’s firm – ya know, a Democrat? A majority of those polled now say Obama is a socialist. For me this is no news whatsoever. So why am I writing this then? Just to rub some arrogant folk’s noses in it.

Back in ’06 it was clear the Socialist-in-Chief was going to run for Big Cheese. Clearly 100 or so days sitting in the debating club, the US Senate, was all the experience a new and nuanced fella would need. So I started looking into this clown, errr…., I mean His Most Glorious Magnificence. I read stuff about him on the interweb and lo and behold this cat was way out there for sure.

Around the time he informed us of his own greatness and decided only his guiding hand – the left one only – was needed for this nation, I started writing about him. I preached he was a socialist. Others came to the same conclusion and they broadcast it too, but we were denigrated and called names. We were “radical rightists and reactionaries,” so they claimed. And even better we were just called racists.

Yet with the passage of time and the reflection of his own image, it became more and more apparent this man held a different opinion of this nation than most. He was saying he was all for America and “returning us to the Founding principles” (paraphrased and oft repeated by his sycophancy), but as an historian something didn’t jibe. Then my eldest daughter got his two books and I eyeballed ‘em.

I was pretty sure our nation was dealing with a pretender – a Chameleon-in-Chief if you will. His own words about “not wanting to appear to be a sellout” so he made nice with “structural feminists, Marxist professors, etc.” to gain creds became a real sticking point for me. Add in Rev. Wright. Then the “birther” stuff started and we know the rest.

Democrat James Carville Says “80% of Democrats Don’t Have a Clue as to Political Reality.”

Not only is James Carville a scary looking, Skeletor type fella with a voice that is like fingernails on a chalkboard, but he’s also either very honest, very arrogant or very stupid. Either way, read the words of Mr. Carville and tell me whatcha think. Here is the direct quote as lifted from Thinkexist.com:

“Ideologies aren’t all that important. What’s important is psychology.

The Democratic constituency is just like a herd of cows. All you have to do is lay out enough silage and they come running. That’s why I became an operative working with Democrats. With Democrats all you have to do is make a lot of noise, lay out the hay, and be ready to use the ole cattle prod in case a few want to bolt the herd.

Eighty percent of the people who call themselves Democrats don’t have a clue as to political reality. What amazes me is that you could take a group of people who are hard workers and convince them that they should support social programs that were the exact opposite of their own personal convictions. Put a little fear here and there and you can get people to vote any way you want.

The voter is basically dumb and lazy. The reason I became a Democratic operative instead of a Republican was because there were more Democrats that didn’t have a clue than there were Republicans.

Truth is relative. Truth is what you can make the voter believe is the truth. If you’re smart enough, truth is what you make the voter think it is. That’s why I’m a Democrat. I can make the Democratic voters think whatever I want them to.”

And the lefties scream it is conservatives who are too stupid to live, huh? Let’s diagnose Mr. Carville’s words.

He equates Democrats to a “herd of cows” I guess to portray the ignorant follow the lead tail mentality. I worked on a farm for a time. Cows will follow the leader to Hell and back. Get the lead bovine to follow you, and the rest will indeed follow along, so I assume that was his reference.

As well he likens the treatment of Democrats as one would treat a stupid animal, as cows are not the brightest bulbs in the pack.

Item #2- Even though the American Medical Association offered qualified support for the Senate health care bill this week, many other medical groups are unqualified in their opposition including the California, Texas, and Florida Medical Associations. The AMA only covers 20% of doctors.

Item #3- An economist at the Office of Management and Budget has raised questions about the Environmental Protection Agency’s assumption that new regulations do not impose higher costs on coal-fired power plants.

Item #4- Bad News for Obama and progressives: 45% Now Identify as Conservative, Up 7% from Last Year. This information was taken from a report by James Carville. The Ragin-Cajun was off on his predictions of a 40 year reign by democrats.

Item #5- Alinsky Does Afghanistan. Obama’s radical inspiration would have loved his speech on the war. Cloward-Piven would be proud of Obama also. If Obama used the Cloward-Piven strategy, Afghanistan would be a success.

Racism Not a Factor Behind Dislike of Obama

Hate to say I told you so, but…I told you so.

Despite what the alphabet-media tried to proclaim, a new report by a Democratic organization, Democracy Corps, claims that racism is not a factor driving conservative opposition. Loud-mouth Democratic strategist James Carville worked on the report. The report found that conservatives dislike Obama on the belief that he is “pursuing a “secret agenda” to bankrupt the United States and dramatically expand government control to an extent nothing short of socialism.”

Politico reports it this way:

Rather than attributing their dislike of Obama to race, participants in the focus groups, which were a project of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, said that their disaffection was borne out of a sense that the president was orchestrating an effort to steer the country away from its “founding principles.” “They want him to fail,” said pollster Stan Greenberg. “It’s not just a political motivation, it’s an ethical imperative given what they think Obama’s goals are.”

So for all you whiny liberals, who hide behind the moniker of the word progressives, please shut up with your asinine claims that people who do not agree with Obama’s policies are racists. It has never been about Obama’s race. It is 100 % about his policies, his radicals friends and ideologies.

I know this will not end because liberals love playing the race card and being victim vendors when they cannot debate honestly. The claims of racism have been a major talking point with the liberal alphabet-media and will change no time soon. I “hope” the pro-slavery Democratic Party will “change” their typical rhetoric now that a Democratic organization has informed them about the truth.

I didn’t see any coverage by the alphabet-media on this report. In typical fashion, they refuse to report any news they can’t make up themselves.
