Why is the corrupt hag still a representative in the U.S. Congress? Why is this corrupt socialist Democrat not arrested for trying to extort banks to modify home loans?

What is ironic is that this socialist is facing ethics charges for helping a bank, that she and her husband have stock in, receive bailout cash. This is also the same socialist witch that defended Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and Franklin Raines and said nothing was wrong with these two GSEs.

If Obama turns his ‘laser-like’ focus to the black community the way he’s done jobs and unemployment, the black community is screwed. Isn’t it funny that Obama hasn’t paid any attention to the extremely high black unemployment rate but now wants to pander to the black community to shore up their vote.

Obama and his team are going to pull the race card at all costs. He’s already pandering to the Hispanic community by stopping the deportation of 300,000 criminals who broke our immigration laws. Now when faced with criticism from corrupt Congressional Black Caucus members (see Maxine Waters), Obama does an about face and panders to the black community.

I hope these groups wake up and realize this is how the Democrats work. It’s raced based politics that is used to divide and conquer. Maybe these groups will do some research about the party they support so highly.

From WaPo:

From the start of his history-making tenure, the nation’s first black president took care never to be seen making policy or political decisions aimed solely or directly at black America. His position: He is the president of the whole country, focused on broad-based fixes to “lift all boats.”

The liberal media is the biggest peddler of racial politics. As we all know, those on the left are obsessed by race. It’s in their history.

The race-avoidance strategy served President Obama well, helping him attract support from many whites while also mobilizing African Americans energized by the powerful symbol of a black commander in chief.

The media can spin this image all they want. Americans know Obama is an ineffectual leader whose only concern has been his job, not theirs.

But a soaring jobless rate among African Americans and a newfound comfort by black lawmakers to criticize Obama’s economic policies are prompting the White House to recalibrate — and to focus more directly on the struggles of black America.

See, the liberal media continues to hide the truth. Black unemployment is at Depression-era levels and this is happening under the ‘leadership’ of Barry Obama. The media continues to cover Obama’s ass.

The shift comes amid a growing concern among some Democrats that the stubborn economic conditions in minority communities might hamper efforts by Obama’s reelection campaign to generate the large black voter turnout it needs in key cities to make up for his declining support among white independents.

There’s the truth folks. Liberals, and the media, love to pit one against the other. Obama is kissing up to the black community because he is losing support from all groups due to his failed policies. He has been more concerned with campaigning and raising cash for his reelection than the unemployment rates that affect all communities of all colors.

This week, the White House dispatched a top official to participate in a Congressional Black Caucus jobs forum in Miami that had been scheduled in part to pressure the White House.

The official, Don Graves, the executive director of the president’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, told black lawmakers that the president would consider taking executive action to enact at least parts of jobs-related measures they have introduced to no avail in the Republican-led House.

How has this Obama council fared so far? Nine percent (9%) plus unemployment for 28 of the 31 months Obama has been president.

“You may not feel like the president is listening to you, but he hears you loud and clear,” Graves told the lawmakers before an audience of hundreds crammed into the pews of the Mount Hermon African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Yes, Obama has heard them and it’s conveniently close to election time. Hopefully those who voted for Obama due to his skin color will vote him out based on his policies that have damaged all communities, not just the black community.

The professional race-baiters and victim vendors are upset that the Tea Party stopped them, and Barack Obama, from spending the U.S. into insolvency.

From Miami Herald:

Democratic members of the Congressional Black Caucus are in Miami Tuesday to host a jobs fair, part of their five-city tour to draw attention to high unemployment, particularly in the black community.

But at a town-hall style meeting the members held Monday night, some of the most heated talk centered not on jobs but on the tea Tparty.

“The real enemy is the tea party –- let’s remember that,” said Rep. Frederica Wilson of Miami Gardens, host of the meeting and jobs fair. “The tea party holds Congress hostage…They have one goal in mind, and that’s to make President Obama a one-term president.”

Wonder why these CBC members aren’t attacking Obama over the high unemployment rates happening under Obama and because of his policies? Cough…skin color is the answer.

She got energetic applause from the crowd of hundreds at Mt. Hermon AME Church in Miami Gardens. So did Rep. Maxine Waters of California, who recently said the tea party should “Go straight to hell.”

How is Maxine Waters still in office? This is the same crook that got special treatment for a bank her and her husband had stock in.

“I’m in church. I’m not going to repeat that,” Waters said Monday.

She also said: “We have to stand up and fight. It’s fight time…We’re not afraid of the tea party…In this struggle, we have to define who we are, what the president is doing and not let our voices be overshadowed by the tea party.”

CBC plus Obama = spending the U.S. into bankruptcy. Tea Party = stop spending the taxpayers money.

Waters kept at it when Don Graves, executive director of the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness at the White House, said an obstacle to creating jobs is “folks who are going to stand in the way and block the legislation that the Congressional Black Caucus has proposed.”"What people are you talking about?” Waters interrupted. “Say tea party. Say it!”

“It was Tea Party Republicans,” Graves said, adding that “the president is focused on every community across the country,” though “certain communities have been harder than other communities.”

“Can you say black?” Waters said.

“Black, African-American, Latino –- we’re going to focus on getting people back to work,” Graves said meekly, while moderator Tamron Hall of MSNBC called for decorum.

Notice the identity politics Democrats use? Since whites make up 70% of the population, who do you think has the most unemployed under Obama?

The Rev. Jesse Jackson, who was one of the 10 people on the meeting panel, asked audience members to stand if they had a family member in jail, a home in foreclosure, credit card debt. Practically the entire room stood up when he asked who had voted for Obama.

The tea party opposing Obama, Jackson said, should be called the “Fort Sumter Tea Party that sought to maintain states’ rights and slavery.” (Apparently he read this article in Salon.)

“The tea party is a new name on an old game,” he said. “Dr. King fought a ‘tea party’ in Alabama…He had no weapons, but he confronted the tea party.”

Revisionist history from the dumbest man on the planet. Those that Dr. King fought were Democrats who continue to keep the black community down with their liberal policies. Democrats are the party who were founded on a pro-slavery platform and gave us slavery, secession, segregation, lynching, the KKK and Jim Crow laws.

Jesse Jackson and the CBC are useful idiots for the Democratic party.

Identity politics played by the Democrats. The Congressional Black Caucus is whining that they are tired of making excuses for Obama. It is ironic, since they only makes excuses for him because of his skin color.

To those in the black community: How have things improved in your communities under liberal control?

Byron York reports, via The Washington Examiner:

During a sometimes-raucous session of what’s being called the “For the People” Jobs Initiative tour, a key member of the Congressional Black Caucus told an audience in Detroit Tuesday that the CBC doesn’t put pressure on President Obama because he is loved by black voters.  But at the same time, Rep. Maxine Waters said, members of the CBC are becoming increasingly tired and frustrated by Obama’s performance on the issue of jobs. Even as she expressed support for the president, Waters virtually invited the crowd to “unleash us” to pressure Obama for action.

Never knew Obama was only President to black voters. As you see, every thing is race based politics with the Democrats.

“We don’t put pressure on the president,” Waters told the audience at Wayne County Community College.  “Let me tell you why. We don’t put pressure on the president because ya’ll love the president. You love the president. You’re very proud to have a black man — first time in the history of the United States of America. If we go after the president too hard, you’re going after us.”

You would think the black community would be outraged about how unemployment has skyrocketed under Obama and due to his policies. Maxine Waters and members of the CBC refuse to critique Obama because of his skin color. Shameful.

The problem, Waters said, is that Obama is not paying enough attention to the problems of some black Americans.  The unemployment rate for African-Americans nationally is a little over 16 percent, and almost twice that in Detroit.  And yet, Waters said, the president is on a jobs-promotion trip through the Midwest that does not include any stops in black communities.  “The Congressional Black Caucus loves the president too,” Waters said.  “We’re supportive of the president, but we’re getting tired, ya’ll.  We’re getting tired. And so, what we want to do is, we want to give the president every opportunity to show what he can do and what he’s prepared to lead on. We want to give him every opportunity, but our people are hurting. The unemployment is unconscionable. We don’t know what the strategy is. We don’t know why on this trip that he’s in the United States now, he’s not in any black community.  We don’t know that.”

If these numbers were happening under Bush, the CBC would be screaming racism and “Bush don’t care about black people.” Since it happening under someone who has the same skin tone, all is forgiven.

As she discussed her dilemma — frustrated with the president but hesitant to criticize him lest black supporters turn on her — Waters asked the crowd for its permission to have a “conversation” with the president.  “When you tell us it’s alright and you unleash us and you tell us you’re ready for us to have this conversation, we’re ready to have the conversation,” she said.  Some members of the crowd immediately voiced their approval.

“All I’m saying to you is, we’re politicians,” Waters continued.  “We’re elected officials.  We are trying to do the right thing and the best thing. When you let us know it is time to let go, we’ll let go.”

“Let go!” some in the audience yelled.

Racial politics at its worst. Brought to you by the Democrat Party.

If you think I'm guilty...you're just raaaacist!

Finally! Corrupt Democrat Charlie Rangel will stand trial for his ethics violations.

From the Washington Post:

With no lawyers expected at his side, Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.) is scheduled to begin his defense Monday against allegations that he broke congressional rules in his personal finances and his fundraising efforts for a New York college.

This will be Rangel’s excuse when he is found guilty. That and race.

The public trial, conducted by an eight-member panel of Rangel’s congressional peers, will be the first of its kind since 2002. It will be all the more remarkable for Rangel because he no longer has a defense team.

After spending more than $2 million from his campaign account on lawyers and communications experts, Rangel and his team parted ways in September. They had repeatedly clashed over his approach to the defense, including his impromptu decision to deliver a more than 30-minute speech on the House floor in mid-August.

“I am not going away,” Rangel, 80, said during that speech, imploring the ethics committee to hold the trial immediately so he could have his case heard before the midterm elections. “Don’t leave me swinging in the wind until November.”

Now, after winning his 21st term two weeks ago, the former assistant U.S. attorney will get his first dose of something resembling a courtroom since the mid-1960s. Expected to last about a week, Rangel’s trial is to be followed two weeks later by a trial of Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.). She is accused of improperly using her office’s influence in helping get federal bailout support for a bank in which her husband was a large investor.

Yes, the idiots in New York elected the crook who writes tax laws but believes he is above those laws. Taxes are for the little people.

The logistics of the cases are somewhat unclear because the ethics committee tends to operate in deep levels of secrecy. The prosecution will be represented by staff lawyers for the committee who handled the two-year investigation of Rangel; the congressman is expected to deliver an opening statement that would likely mirror much of his August floor speech.

It is unclear whether witnesses will be on hand or if committee lawyers will just read transcripts, and, if witnesses are present, whether Rangel will cross-examine them under oath.

Rangel’s office declined to comment for this story. The lawmaker has acknowledged that he broke some rules, but he said that he did so unknowingly and that his mistakes involved no acts of corruption related to legislation.

Poor Charlie ‘forgot’ to pay the taxes on his Dominican villa. He ‘forgot’ the secret bank accounts that held almost $1 million dollars. All simple mistakes.

This is what Americans have waited for. Democrats pushed back the ethics trials for their beloved tax cheat Charlie Rangel, and even more corrupt Maxine Waters, until after the midterm elections. Now Charlie is up first and he is going to represent himself.

The Associated Press reports:

After stunning election losses, and amid potentially disastrous leadership wars, Democrats are preparing to deal with some more bad news: Two senior House members are facing ethics trials.

Later this month, House judicial proceedings begin for Reps. Charlie Rangel of New York and Maxine Waters of California.

Rangel’s first day of hearings is Monday.

What’s more, Rangel has indicated that he may represent himself, all but ensuring that his trial will garner extensive media attention–pretty much the last thing that Democratic leaders want.

A man who represents himself has a fool for a client.

Rangel, who parted ways with his lawyers in October, has a well-earned reputation for blunt and controversial statements. In August, the longtime Harlem congressman took to the House floorto issue a surprise, rambling diatribe about his ethics troubles, repeatedly proclaiming his innocence and trashing the prolonged inquiry into allegations of a number of fundraising abuses.

It’s still not clear whether Rangel has a new legal team lined up or is planning to represent himself, nor whether House leaders will delay the trial. A call to Rangel’s office was not immediately returned, and the House Ethics Committee does not comment on ongoing cases.

The committee this summer charged Rangel with 13 ethics violations, including the improper solicitation of donations, a failure to provide complete disclosure information, and improper use of a rent-controlled apartment.

How conveinent. The AP left out his failure to pay taxes on his villa down in the Dominican Republic or the bank accounts with $500K he forgot about.

Waters faces three charges related to her advocacy for a bank connected to her husband.

The Face of a corrupt Socialist Progressive Democrat

This corrupt socialist progressive democrat needs to be run out of Congress as-soon-as-possible. Of course, Waters is claiming innocence and only did it to help low-income families (wink-wink). Pay no attention to the $15,000 her husband received or the bill she helped pass that benefitted the corporation that paid her husband.

The Washington Times Reports:

A lobbyist known as one of California’s most successful power brokers while serving as a legislative leader in that state paid Rep. Maxine Waters’ husband $15,000 in consulting fees at a time she was co-sponsoring legislation that would help save the real-estate finance business of one of the lobbyist’s best-paying clients, records show.

Ms. Waters’ husband, Sidney Williams, a former pro football player and ambassador to the Bahamas, was a paid consultant on a Los Angeles lobbying project for Mike Roos, who served with Ms. Waters in the California State Assembly. During Mr. Roos’ 14-year tenure, he held the posts of majority floor leader and speaker pro tempore.

In 2007, Mr. Roos expanded his successful California lobbying business to Washington, D.C., after Democrats took control of the House and Ms. Waters became chairman of the House Financial Services housing and community opportunity subcommittee, where she played a key role in housing legislation.

Mr. Roos sought her assistance for a California client that specialized in homeownership and asset development.

According to federal lobbying records, Mr. Roos was paid $430,000 by the Nehemiah Corp. of America, a Sacramento, Calif.-based nonprofit that acted as a middleman to help sellers finance down payments for homebuyers to qualify for mortgages insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). He lobbied members of Congress and federal agencies on behalf of the firm.

One of those lobbied was Ms. Waters, a California Democrat and key Nehemiah ally, who held a hearing on down-payment assistance in June 2007 and persuaded federal housing officials to delay for 30 days efforts to impose a ban on the program. She also co-sponsored legislation in 2008 and 2009 that would have kept Nehemiah’s assistance program viable.

Nehemiah was the largest middleman on such deals nationwide, with more than a third of the business, passing on $1.5 billion from sellers to more than 320,000 homebuyers in a decade.

Ms. Waters denied any connection between Mr. Roos’ payment to her husband and her help with Mr. Roos’ client, Nehemiah. She said the program allowed homeownership to hundreds of thousands of low- and moderate-income families who needed assistance with the down payments.

The Internal Revenue Service ruled in 2006 that seller-funded down-payment assistance programs were “scams,” and federal housing officials tried for several years to end what they considered a dangerous practice of allowing sellers to make the required 3 percent down payments for homebuyers through a nonprofit middleman such as Nehemiah.

Three times, Ms. Waters co-sponsored legislation that Nehemiah and similar groups wanted to either stop the proposed federal ban or overturn it once it became law. The ban went into effect in October 2008, but not before Nehemiah had financed an additional $600 million in down payments for 100,000 homeowners in the 17 months after the ban was proposed.

In the first quarter of 2009, while Ms. Waters was helping Mr. Roos, her friend of 30 years, by co-sponsoring one final effort to overturn the federal ban on middlemen, her husband was on the Roos payroll as a consultant. The $15,000 payment, according to lobbying reports filed with the city of Los Angeles, was for Mr. Williams’ help in trying to get a Los Angeles hotel off a designated list of residential hotels that could not be turned easily into upscale lofts.

Very convenient. These two corrupt Democrats will finally get their trails during a lame duck session of Congress and after the midterm elections.

Politico reports:

The House ethics committee will begin ethics “trials” for Reps. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) when Congress returns in mid-November, according to a statement from Rep. Zoe Lofgren, the panel’s chairwoman.

Lofgren announced that the Rangel trial will begin on Nov. 15, with the Waters’ proceedings scheduled to start on Nov. 29. Some Republicans had pushed a much quicker trial schedule, but Democrats chose to wait until the lame duck session of Congress to schedule the rare ethics tribunals, in which the two veteran lawmakers will be tried before a specially convened panel.

The timetable means the full House could end up taking action on any sanctions approved by the ethics committee against the veteran Democrats before it adjourns for the year.

Lofgren also criticized her GOP counterpart, Rep. Jo Bonner (Ala.), and his fellow Republicans on the committee for releasing an extraordinary public statement recently that suggested she was stalling the trials for Rangel and Waters.

“Last week’s unprecedented statement by the minority members of the committee, in contrast to the prior requests and ongoing discussions, called up the chair to unilaterally establish the committee scheduled, as the committee rules allow,” Lofgren said in her statement. Lofgren is chairing the “adjudicatory hearings” where Rangel and Waters plan to contest the charges against them.

Some Hill insiders believed the Rangel and Waters’ proceeding might be postponed until 2011, although Lofgren’s announcement – clearly a reaction to the GOP statement last week – now settles that question.
