I don’t know the rolling count of Obama endorsement that have gone bust but this is the latest one. He seems to have a knack for picking losers.

From Miami Herald:

Lincolnton Furniture Company closed abruptly Thursday just one year after it was hailed by President Barack Obama as an example of the recovering U.S. economy.

Furniture-making operations stopped indefinitely and only a few people will remain employed moving forward, company financial officer Ben Causey said.

“I don’t know where it’s going to go exactly; we’re still evaluating our situation,” Causey said. “We just didn’t have any choice at this point.”

The company was not receiving the orders it needed to sustain its operations, Causey said.

“We needed more orders is really what it boiled down to,” he said. “We thought they would materialize.”

Owner Bruce Cochrane, a fifth generation furniture-manufacturer, formed the company in 2011 with a $5 million investment and the hope he could make a profit off people who wanted to buy furniture made in America.

It was a move that caught the attention of North Carolina officials and those in the White House. Last year, Cochrane sat with the first lady during Obama’s 2012 State of the Union Address. He also joined the president and other business leaders in a discussion about how to create more jobs at home.

The left knows no low and will do anything to steal an election.

RALEIGH — Cecil Pearson’s daughter Darlene told him she voted for Barack Obama for president. President of what? Cecil says Darlene couldn’t tell you. Darlene, 40, is developmentally disabled and functions cognitively at about the level of a 7-year old. She lives in a group home with five other adult women in Roanoke Rapids.

“I was shocked when I learned she had voted,” Pearson toldCarolina Journal. “She has never voted. My wife and I became her legal guardians in 1996 to prevent exploitation like this. We were not consulted. She is not capable of making an informed choice, and as her guardians we would not have approved it.”

Pearson said his daughter registered to vote at a Division of Motor Vehicles office in 1995 when staff at her group home took her to get a photo identification card. North Carolina Board of Elections records confirm that she registered in 1995, but the first vote she cast was Nov. 2 of this year. Cecil said he learned Darlene voted when he picked her up for a visit later the same day and she told him.

A series of CJ reports have unearthed organized efforts to register patients in state facilities for the mentally ill and developmentally disabled, and to assist them in voting. Advocates for the disabled contend these efforts are legal, but there appears to be some confusion involving state laws that govern voting rights. Cecil Pearson’s concerns reveal additional ambiguities in the legal boundaries between patients, guardians, and public officials regarding voting rights of the mentally and developmentally disabled in group homes and other private facilities.

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV/AP/CBS News) -Federal agents are inside the home of the Charlotte author at the center of a scandal involving CIA Director David Petraeus, who resigned on Friday.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations confirms that it has agents inside Paula Broadwell’s Dilworth home.

While agents on scene would not confirm what they were looking for, nearly a dozen agents were seen carrying boxes and taking photographs inside the home.

Paula Broadwell, the biographer who wrote a book about retired four-star general David Petraeus, 60, has not been seen at her Dilworth home since the news connecting her to an extramarital affair with Petraeus.

Broadwell spent a year with Petraeus in Afghanistan from July 2010 through July 2011 interviewing him for a book she co-wrote, “All In: The Education of General David Petraeus.”  This was during the period while he led the International Security Assistance Force there.

On Friday it was announced that Petraeus tendered his resignation to President Barack Obama, citing the affair.

An investigation started with harassing emails sent by Broadwell to another woman and eventually led the FBI to discover the affair, U.S. officials told The Associated Press on Saturday.

Liberalism is a mental disease.

BUTNER — Recent stepped-up voter registration efforts at state mental hospitals and facilities for the developmentally disabled resulted in the registration of Wendell Justin Williamson, who in 1995 killed two people in Chapel Hill and was judged not guilty by reason of insanity.

Election records show Williamson, a patient at Central Regional Hospital in Butner, was registered on Sept. 13 as an unaffiliated voter. He cast an absentee ballot that was accepted Oct. 15 by the Granville County Board of Elections.

In a street shootout in January 1995 near the UNC-Chapel Hill campus, Williamson, a law student, used an M-1 rifle to kill two strangers. The not-guilty verdict caused a national furor. He attractedadditional headlines this week when a judge granted Williamson unsupervised off-campus privileges.

Efforts to register mental patients and residents of centers for the developmentally disabled have taken place in recent months in several locations around the state.

Wanna beat Organizing for America or Obama for America are involved?

Employees of the Murdoch Developmental Center, a state-run facility in Butner for the mentally retarded and developmentally disabled, recently registered 36 of the more than 500 residents to vote in what appears to have been a voter registration drive at the facility. In addition, some residents were checked out of the facility and transported to early voting centers to cast votes.

As of Oct. 30, eight of the center’s residents had voted in person at one of the two early voting sites in Granville County, Carolina Journal has learned. One of the sites is at the Creedmoor City Hall, four miles from the Murdoch Center. The residents voted at the early voting locations on five different days.

How convenient!

GREENSBORO, N.C. –The presidential election is just around the corner and voting issues have already become a problem in Guilford County.

On Monday, several voters complained that their electronic ballot machine cast the wrong vote.  All the complaints were made by people who voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location.

One of the voters, Sher Coromalis, says she cast her ballot for Governor Mitt Romney, but every time she entered her vote the machine defaulted to President Obama.

“I was so upset that this could happen,” said Coromalis.

Guilford County Board of Elections Director George Gilbert says the problem arises every election. It can be resolved after the machine is re-calibrated by poll workers.

“It’s not a conspiracy it’s just a machine that needs to be corrected,” Gilbert said.

After the third try, Coromalis says she was able to get her vote counted for Gov. Romney but was still annoyed.

“I should have just mailed it in,” Coromalis said.

I’m smiling big. My home state turned back to red during the 2010 midterms and now Team Obama is given up all hopes of winning North Carolina. Guess the DNC convention didn’t help so much?

Now the record old. Democrats already have a monopoly on the dead, illegals and cartoon characters. It looks like the fraud isn’t enough so now they are registering people from the Guinness Book of World Records to vote.

From the Examiner:

There are obviously verifiable vote fraudproblems in North Carolina.

In 2010 those problems surfaced meaningfully as indicated in the below voter fraud post from an earlier Charlotte Conservative Examiner article:

Perhaps in an effort to promote North Carolina as one of the healthiest States in the Nation, this latest voter twist comes to us from Susan Myrick of the Civitas Institute in North Carolina–not to be confused with Rep. Sue Myrick of NC who is unrelated. In a radio interview with local WBT Anchor Tara Servatious, Susan reports that she has been keeping track of the number of votes in North Carolina of individuals over the age of 110 years and apparently we have quite a few, over 410 of the 110 year olds–to be exact– actually voted via absentee ballot on October the 28th. Yes indeed, now it would appear that good ole NC has the market cornered on the Centenarian vote.

At latest count, Susan has garnered a total Absentee Ballot vote of over 2,660 people over the age of 110. Someone contact the Guiness Book and warm up the Ford, the Fountain of Youth exists and its right here in lovely NC. It’s no wonder people are moving here in droves–maybe the use of tobacco isn’t such a bad thing after all? But, on a more serious note, with all of the irregularities going on all over the place, we can now begin to wonder about a few things.

Apparently those ultra-healthy seniors over 110 have aged and are now astoundingly over 112 years old, and are still able to make it to the polls ahead of time.

According to a post originally from the Silence Dogood political blog report, there were at least 758 individuals over the age of 112 who had either risen from their respective graves, or otherwise, to vote once again for the Democrats in charge, who might apparently have also guaranteed them an ever-lasting vote for life and beyond.

Just like Obama, Democrats lied. The “People’s Convention” was funded by the 1%ers Democrats bitch about.

WASHINGTON — Democratic convention organizers broke their pledge to put on their quadrennial gathering inCharlotte, N.C., this year without corporate donations, using $5 million from a committee financed by companies such asBank of AmericaDuke Energy and AT&T to rent the Time Warner Arena for the three-day event.

The payments, revealed in reports filed Wednesday evening with the Federal Election Commission, came after party officials said they would produce the convention without corporate money, a self-imposed ban set by the Democratic National Committee.

The limits were part of President Obama‘s vow to curtail the role of big money in politics, a goal he has struggled to meet. He railed against the influence of outside groups in elections, but gave his blessing earlier this year to a “super PAC” supporting his reelection after GOP-allied groups began to spend millions of dollars to defeat him.

In the run-up to the September convention, organizers said the ban on direct contributions from corporations, lobbyists or political action committees had not hurt their fundraising efforts.

And during an interview in Charlotte last month as the festivities were in full swing, DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz insisted that organizers had “exceeded that bar,” financing the event without special-interest money.

“Even though it was quite challenging … we are so proud that we made sure that this was the most open and accessible and inclusive community-oriented convention in history,” she said.

But FEC reports show that convention organizers failed to reach their $36.7-million goal, raising just $24.1 million.

That led them to cover the rental fee for the arena with $5 million from New American City, a civic committee set up by the host committee that was allowed to accept corporate cash. Officials had said the nonprofit would not be used to pay for the convention itself but rather would cover the costs of overhead, welcome parties and community projects.

Using the fund to pay for the arena did not technically violate their rules: A little-noticed clause in the master contract allowed the maneuver. But it conflicted with promises made by Wasserman Schultz and other Democratic officials that the convention would be free of corporate money.

Typical Obama. Smiles and makes promises only to never fulfill them.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A spokesman for the Obama campaign told Eyewitness News that as of Friday there are no plans for President Barack Obama to return to Charlotte and honor the promise he made during the Democratic National Convention to return after his speech was moved indoors.

With the election just over three weeks away, some of the folks are wondering if he’ll make it back in time.

“I have my ticket, my golden ticket,” said Lakisha Lucky, who still carries her ticket to Bank of America stadium in her car.

Lucky hopes the president honors the promise he made the day they canceled events at the stadium.

“We’re going to do everything we can to get you into events in a place near you. Our staff will be in touch with you about that, so hopefully you’ll have an even closer front row seat,” Obama said after his speech was moved indoors, leaving 50,000 out of the event.
