Obama Campaign Illegally Campaigning: Emails Supporters Asking Them to Flood Capital Switchboards to Pressure Republicans on Fiscal Cliff
Posted in Political Issues, tagged Biden, fiscal cliff, illegal campaign, Obama, Stephanie Cutter on December 11, 2012 | 1 Comment »
Besides lying and spending, campaigning is all Obama knows how to do.
From PJ Tatler:
By federal law, the Obama-Biden campaign is supposed to disband. But it shows no signs of disbanding, and is instead launching a whole new campaign. In an email sent out today and signed by Obama campaign deputy manager Stephanie Cutter, Obama-Biden is urging supporters to flood the capitol switchboard in Washington with calls to Republican congressman. Callers are urged to pressure GOPers into caving to the president’s demand for higher taxes. Cutter casts the debate disingenuously, as the president defending tax cuts for the middle class while Republicans would be making a “conscious choice” to hike those taxes in defense of tax cuts for “the wealthy.” President Obama and most Democrats spent years criticizing those very same Bush-era tax cuts as irresponsible. Obama even described Bush as “unpatriotic” for raising the national debt, only to raise the national debt even more than Bush did, in half the time.
Today’s email appears to be part of a broader Democratic offensive against House Republicans. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is running robocalls against 35 House Republicans to pressure them into going along with the president’s tax hikes without entitlement spending reform.

96% of Political Donations from Ivy League Faculty & Staff Went to Obama

Those dumbing-down our kids gave their money to a dummy who is dumbing-down a nation.
From Campus Reform:
96% of the faculty and staff at Ivy League colleges that contributed to the 2012 presidential race donated to President Obama’s campaign, reveals a Campus Reform investigation compiled using numbers released by the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
From the eight elite schools, $1,211,267 was contributed to the Obama campaign, compared to the $114,166 given to Romney.
The highest percentage of Obama donors came from Brown University and Princeton, with 99 percent of donations from faculty and staff going towards his campaign.
Dartmouth College and the University of Pennsylvania’s faculty contributed to the President’s campaign in the lowest numbers, with only 94 percent donating to the Obama campaign.
Obama Aides Attend Big Donor Retreat, Looking to Start Super PAC for 2014 Elections

But, but, but Obama was against Super PACs and how they influence elections.
From Politico:
POLITICO’s Ken Vogel and Tarini Parti report that some of President Obama’s top aides attended a recent retreat of top liberal donors planning for a super PAC and independent expendiure campaign in 2014 and beyond.
The attendees included former campaign battleground states director Mitch Stewart, director of the National Economic Council Gene Sperling and White House director of the Office of Public Engagement Jon Carson:
The three-day conference — the annual winter conference of the Democracy Alliance, an exclusive club composed of some of the biggest liberal donors — at Washington’s W Hotel featured presentations by top Obama campaign and administration officials including Mitch Stewart, Matthew Barzun, Gene Sperling and Jon Carson.
Democracy Alliance donors gave or pledged more than $14 million to super PACs and secret-money nonprofits this year after a vigorous debate about whether Democrats should participate in the wave of unlimited political spending that Republicans rode to control of the House of Representatives in 2010. Some of the left’s biggest traditional donors argued that joining the big money fight would be akin to condoning the recent court decisions that sparked it — most notably the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling, which Democrats up to and including Obama decried as facilitating a corporate takeover of democracy. They either abstained entirely or were slow to open their checkbooks.
Obama has identified big outside donors as a threat to the integrity of elections, and has said he would like to reign in outside groups.

Guilford County, NC Voters Say Ballot Cast for Romney Came Up Obama on Machine

GREENSBORO, N.C. –The presidential election is just around the corner and voting issues have already become a problem in Guilford County.
On Monday, several voters complained that their electronic ballot machine cast the wrong vote. All the complaints were made by people who voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location.
One of the voters, Sher Coromalis, says she cast her ballot for Governor Mitt Romney, but every time she entered her vote the machine defaulted to President Obama.
“I was so upset that this could happen,” said Coromalis.
Guilford County Board of Elections Director George Gilbert says the problem arises every election. It can be resolved after the machine is re-calibrated by poll workers.
“It’s not a conspiracy it’s just a machine that needs to be corrected,” Gilbert said.
After the third try, Coromalis says she was able to get her vote counted for Gov. Romney but was still annoyed.
“I should have just mailed it in,” Coromalis said.
