So Congress stuck it’s nose into a matter that has no concern to them, Congress had more important issue to tackle but the Democrats in control wanted to investigate steroid use in baseball. Roger Clemens testified and claimed he never used steroids. Clemens’ trainer said the opposite.
So Congress brought up Clemens on perjury charges.
During the same time, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke testified before Congress and stated boldly that “the Federal Reserve would not monetize the debt.”
Bernanke perjured himself. The Federal Reserve has monetized the debt twice, Quantitative Easing 1 & 2, and is now saying the a third round of quantitative easing is on the way. This is being done to prop up Obama’s weak economy.
Now my question is: If Congress pursued perjury charges against a retired baseball pitcher why are they not pursuing perjury charges against the Federal Reserve Chairman?
Baseball has nothing to do with government or how government runs. The Federal Reserve Chairman has a lot to do with government and how government runs. Roger Clemens suspected use of steroids has no effect on taxpayers. What Ben Bernanke is doing does.
This is one for the “are you fucking serious” file. The following day after having his party’s ass handed to them, Rep. Chaka Fattah (D=delusional dumbass) wants to introduce a bill to ‘disavow’ the impeachment of President Bill Clinton after Clinton perjured himself about the Lewinsky affair.
On the day after Republicans reclaimed control of Congress, a Democratic lawmaker said he will introduce a measure that would “disavow” the impeachment of former President Clinton.
Rep. Chaka Fattah (Pa.) said that the resolution is necessary so that Democrats and Republicans can work together in a bipartisan fashion.
Where was the bipartisanship on the stimulus, ObamaCare and the financial reform bills?
“As we enter a period in which bipartisanship will be a major priority for the Congress, it is vital that we disavow the most highly partisan example of the politics of personal destruction in the recent history of this House,” Fattah said in a statement.
The last time they were in power, House Republicans impeached Clinton for allegedly perjuring himself over his supposed affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Clinton, only the second president in history to be impeached, was eventually acquitted at trial in the Senate.
Allegedly? We saw Clinton on television pounding his fist and stating “I..did not have sexual relations…with that woman…Ms. Lewinsky.” Well, it’s better to hear it from the horse’s mouth…
Not to mention that Clinton lied to the Grand Jury and received a 5 year suspension of his law license. This is what the author of this article calls ‘allegedly.’
Critics slammed the impeachment as a political move by the GOP, but the impeachment did not torpedo the GOP: they controlled the House for another eight years.
Fattah said he is introducing the resolution on Nov. 15, the first day of the lame-duck session, noting that Clinton’s impeachment took place during the December 1998 lame-duck session.
