Protesters Drown Out Obama

Hope and Change is coming to an end!

CHARLOTTESVILLE — An outdoor political rally erupted into a moment of chaos as protesters drowned out President Obama’s speech at a downtown amphitheater here — and then the rest of the crowd drowned out the protesters.

It was unclear what the protesters were saying, but several members of the crowd said a few minutes later that they heard “Get out of Afghanistan!” The shouts prompted a flurry of Secret Service activity, and they also prompted an enthusiastic crowd of more than 7,000 to shut down the protesters with two cacophonous chants: “Four more years!” and “O-ba-ma!”

Obama couldn’t continue for a long moment, but when the noise finally died down, he said: “I couldn’t hear what those young people had to say, but that’s good that they got involved.” To the rest of the crowd, he said: “Don’t just chant! Vote!”

Charlotte Jails, Courts Bracing for Spike in Arrests During DNC

It won’t be from Tea Partiers. The Occupy goons, anarchists and war protesting lefties will do what they do best. Cause destruction and chaos.

Mecklenburg officials will boost their jail staffing by 30 percent and put double or triple the number of magistrates on duty in anticipation of a possible spike in arrests during the Democratic National Convention.

Authorities expect as many as 10,000 protesters to descend on Charlotte, as they have for past political conventions. A protest march planned for Sunday, Sept. 2, the eve of the DNC, could be the largest in Charlotte’s history.

Other large marches and rallies are planned throughout the week, and there will be a heavy police presence along the routes.

During demonstrations at the NATO conference in Chicago earlier this year, police allowed marchers to deviate from assigned routes, and protesters set off through the city, blocking streets around the spontaneous routes. Violence sometimes accompanied otherwise peaceful demonstrations.

Liberal spin. Most of these protest turned violent. Occupy goons smashed windows, vandalized buildings and assaulted police and each other. Some were arrested for domestic terrorism when they wanted to blow up a bridge in Cleveland and planned on bombing the RNC convention is Tampa. Besides all this, sure it was “mostly peaceful.”

Complicating matters for Mecklenburg officials is the closure of the uptown arrest processing center for renovations in March. The center is not expected to open again until early 2013.

That means all arrestees will be transported to the Spector Drive center in north Charlotte.

The county processes about 45,000 individuals a year at the processing centers, said Julia Rush, spokeswoman for the Mecklenburg sheriff’s office.

Sgt. Stephen Morin said the county will increase staffing at the north Charlotte center by about 30 percent.

“We’re hearing from a lot of outside people that are telling us to expect the perfect storm of angry people,” Morin said. “Some of them are going to want to get some street credit by getting arrested.”

Obama harassed at fundraiser by singing Bradle

Aww, a bunch of pro-traitor moonbats serenaded the king of moonbats, President Obama.

SAN FRANCISCO — Some supporters from this city known for its progressive politics and history of demonstrations didn’t let President Obama leave without giving him a piece of their mind.

And they did it in song.

A group of donors at a small fundraiser held for the president Thursday morning used their time in front of Obama to protest the treatment of Bradley Manning, the Army private accused of giving secret information to WikiLeaks. He is being held in a military prison and some liberal activists and human rights groups believe he is being treated inhumanely.

At a 200-person fundraiser for major donors at the St. Regis Hotel the president was in the middle of his pitch for their support for his 2012 campaign when a woman in a white suit stood up and said, “Mr. President, we wrote you a song.”

Then, a group of people at a table at the small breakfast meeting sang lyrics about Manning, whom they described as being “alone in a cell.”

As they sang, the 10 singers passed around signs that said “Free Bradley Manning.”

Then the woman in the white suit, who did not identify herself, stripped off her jacket to reveal a black T-shirt that read “Free Bradley Manning” and bore his image.

“We paid our dues. Where’s our change?” the group sang.

Eventually, the woman was escorted out of the event and two of the other singers left on their own. (The rest stayed and applauded at the end of POTUS’s speech.)

They’re pro-traitors, of course they would clap for Obama.

“That was a nice song,” Obama said, looking displeased. “Now where was I?”
