Feinstein’s Gun-Grab Exempts Government Workers Who Protect Congress

These guns are awesome when they protect the elite members of Congress

“Assault weapons” are only bad to liberals when they’re not used to protect them.

Not everyone will have to abide by Senator Dianne Feinstein’s gun control bill. If the proposed legislation becomes law, government officials and others will be exempt.

“Mrs. Feinstein’s measure would exempt more than 2,200 types of hunting and sporting rifles; guns manually operated by bolt, pump, lever or slide action; and weapons used by government officials, law enforcement and retired law enforcement personnel,” the Washington Times reports.

The Huffington Post confirms these exemptions, and adds that guns owned prior to the legislation becoming law will be permissible, too. “[T]he bill includes a number of exemptions: It exempts more than 2,200 hunting and sporting weapons; any gun manually operated by a bolt, pump, lever or slide action; any weapons used by government officials and law enforcement; and any weapons legally owned as of the date of the bill’s enactment.”

Liberal gun-grabbers forget the key part of the 2nd amendment: “Shall not be infringed.”

Senate Dems Set to Ban Semiautomatic Rifles, Shotguns and Handguns Today

Military-style semiautomatics look scary to liberals. They are after not just rifles but also have shotguns and pistols on their list as well.

WASHINGTON (CBS / AP) — Connecticut’s two U.S. senators are joining forces with California Sen. Dianne Feinstein and other key senators, proposing a retooled federal ban on assault weapons in the wake of the deadly Newtown school shooting.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the proposed legislation, to be unveiled Thursday in Washington, D.C., will more narrowly define what’s considered an assault weapon under a resurrected ban. The bill, he said, will also prohibit high-capacity magazines, limiting them to a capacity of up to nine rounds of ammunition.

Blumenthal said the legislation is “one of the most significant” bills to be introduced following the Dec. 14 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. It also marks the first bill that Blumenthal and Sen. Chris Murphy have worked on together as senators.

[...]Blumenthal said the bill defines rapid fire assault weapons in terms of a single feature, such as having a pistol grip or a flash suppressor. Connecticut’s ban defines the weapons in terms of having two features.

All semiautomatics can be fired rapidly and all pistols have pistol grips. Idiot liberal gun-grabbers believe banning accessories will  stop criminals from committing crime.

US Marine Responds to Gun Control Freak Dianne Feinstein

Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.

I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Gun-Grabbing Sen. Dianne Feinstein Releases Assault Weapons Ban Legislation…Handguns are on the List

Most of us knew their true intentions. Just like Hitler, Democrats know an armed society stands in their way of installing a progressive dictatorship.

Summary of 2013 legislation

Following is a summary of the 2013 legislation:

• Bans the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of:
  • 120 specifically-named firearms;
  • Certain other semiautomatic rifles, handguns, shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine and have one or more military characteristics; and
  • Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds.
• Strengthens the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban and various state bans by:
  • Moving from a 2-characteristic test to a 1-characteristic test;
  • Eliminating the easy-to-remove bayonet mounts and flash suppressors from the characteristics test; and
  • Banning firearms with “thumbhole stocks” and “bullet buttons” to address attempts to “work around” prior bans.
• Bans large-capacity ammunition feeding devices capable of accepting more than 10 rounds.
• Protects legitimate hunters and the rights of existing gun owners by:
  • Grandfathering weapons legally possessed on the date of enactment;
  • Exempting over 900 specifically-named weapons used for hunting or sporting purposes; and
  • Exempting antique, manually-operated, and permanently disabled weapons.
• Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act, to include:
  • Background check of owner and any transferee;
  • Type and serial number of the firearm;
  • Positive identification, including photograph and fingerprint;
  • Certification from local law enforcement of identity and that possession would not violate State or local law; and
  • Dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein Wants Gun Owners to Register Their Semi-Automatic Firearms as Machine Guns under the National Firearms Act to Raise Taxes

Liberal dipshit Dianne Feinstein is calling for law-abiding citizens who own semi-automatic rifles to be forced to register their firearms under the National Firearms Act ($200 TAX on each firearm sold/transferred) because she is a know-nothing liberal gun control fanatic (except when it’s to protect her liberal ass). At the 40 second mark in this video (unable to embedded) Feinstein blatantly lies by stating:

“SINCE THERE ARE NOW DEVICES TO LEGALLY MAKE THEM AUTOMATIC, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT IT IS PRUDENT TO PLACE THEM UNDER THE FEDERAL FIREARMS ACT.”

It is ILLEGAL to own automatic weapons (unless you go through registration with BATF and obtain a Federal Firearms License) and ILLEGAL to turn them into automatics through machining. For those who don’t know the difference between an automatic-fire weapon and a semi-automatic, let me explain. An automatic sprays bullets and continues to fire until the bullets run out. A semi-automatic fires a single bullet with each squeeze of the trigger. All hunting/target shooting/self-defense rifles used in the US are semi-automatic.

The Gun Control Act of 1986 (Firearm Owners Protection Act) does not allowed citizens to posses fully automatic weapons unless they were manufactured prior to 1986. The weapons manufactured before 1986 are “Grandfathered” meaning they can still be LEGALLY transferred through a licensed/bonded Class III NFA Weapons Dealer. NO fully automatic weapons made after 1968 are legal for civilians to own or possess. (Translation: without government approval a private citizen can’t own an automatic “machine gun”)

Liberals want the groupthinkers to believe these weapons, simply because they look like military-style weapons, are machine guns. None of the guns used in any US school massacres were fully-automatics (machine guns are liberals call them). All handguns and rifles in law-abiding citizens hands are semi-automatic and liberals are attempting to blur the lines. Some are already calling for the confiscation of semi-automatics so those will be next on the list.

Gun control fanatics, from Hitler to Mao to Stalin, all used lies and propaganda to confiscate guns. The current crop of liberal gun grabbers are doing the same things.

Gun-Grabbers are Coming: Sen. Dianne Feinstein Suggests National Gun Buy-Back Plan

Gun buy-back = confiscation and the taxpayers will be forced to pay for it.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said that she and other gun control advocates are considering a law that would create a program to purchase weapons from gun owners, a proposal that could be compulsory.

“We are also looking at a buy-back program,” Feinstein said today in a press conference. “Now, again, this is a work in progress so these are ideas in the development.”

Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-N.Y., already discussed the possibility of a buy-back law for his state, but he made clear it would be a forced buyback.

“Confiscation could be an option,” Cuomo told The New York Timesyesterday when discussing semiautomatic weapons. “Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun but permit it.”

[...]Some liberal activists want the policy imitated here. “That would be like destroying 50 million guns in America today,” the Center for American Progress’ Matt Miller wrote after noting that Australia eliminated 20 percent of the weapons in the country. “The Australian ‘outlaw and repurchase’ option is one approach. But if Congress balks at banning certain weapons entirely, it could make gun owners an offer they can’t refuse. Instead of $200 a gun, Uncle Sam might offer $500.”

Hypocrites on the Left Calling for Gun Control Despite Being Armed and Protected by Armed Guards

It never fails. Every time there is a mass shooting, liberals run to the cameras screaming for more gun control laws. Sen. Dianne Feinstein is one of those hypocrites. She enjoys armed protection being a US Senator. Guys with guns are always around protecting her. It also should be noted that back in the 70′s, Feinstein was a concealed weapon carrier.

“I know the sense of helplessness that people feel. I know the urge to arm yourself because that’s what I did. I was trained in firearms. I walked to the hospital when my husband was sick. I carried a concealed weapon and I made the determination if somebody was going to try and take me out, I was going to take them with me.”

Wow, how times have changed. Feinstein isn’t the only hypocrite. Most liberal politicians are and most enjoy the protection of armed police officers, security guards and bodyguards. Their protection can’t be compromised but the average citizen’s can. Look at anti-2nd Amendment nut, NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He has around the clock armed protection as he pushing anti-gun legislation. Guns that protect him are good. Guns that protect citizens who can’t afford armed bodyguards are bad.

Harry Reid is another hypocrite who screams about more gun restrictions but Reid bragged about carry a gun all the time.

“We hear a lot about guns and self-defense and that’s good, I understand that. I was a police officer where I carried a gun and as some of you know during my time being Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission, I had a lot of bad people after me and I carried a gun every place I went. So I know what a gun and self-defense is.”

But the biggest hypocrite is President Obama. Again he is protected by armed Secret Service agents twenty-four hours a day, seven days a weeks and will continue to be protected by armed agents until his death. As a Illinois Senator, Obama showed his true colors and pushed for gun control. As president, Obama didn’t do much or call for gun control in his first term. However, now that he doesn’t have to worry about voter’s wrath, Obama is calling for gun control and gun bans.

This is the same hypocrite whose administration has allowed the illegal trafficking of high-power firearms into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. He wants weak-minded Americans to believe that more laws will stop the flow of firearms into the hands of criminals and the mentally ill, yet his ATF can’t stop these weapons from crossing the border because they are allowing it.

Gun-Grabbers Edition: Feinstein (D) Introducing Gun Ban; Durbin (D) Holding Hearings

Just remember, these are Democrats who see no link to the Fast & Furious guns and the Obama regime and no links to the Benghazi cover-up. Instead, they want to come after our guns due to a mentally unstable lunatic, who broke several laws, going on a killing spree. If Paul Revere were alive he would be shouting “the gun grabbers are coming” and they are.

(CNSNews.con) – Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) says she will introduce a gun-control bill on the first day of the next Congress: “It will ban the sale, the transfer, the importation and the possession –  not retroactively, but prospectively –” of “assault weapons” as well as high-capacity magazines.

And Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said he will hold a hearing in two weeks on “this constitutional question,” a reference to the Second Amendment. “That’s the starting point,” he said.

Feinstein, appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” was asked if President Obama, by not pressing for reinstatement of the “assault weapons” ban, has failed to lead.

“I’m not going to comment on that,” Feinstein told NBC’s David Gregory. “I can tell you he is going have a bill to lead on, because it’s a first-day bill I’m going to introduce in the Senate and the same bill will be introduced in the House, a bill to ban assault weapons. It will ban the sale, the transfer, the importation, and the possession — not retroactively, but prospectively. And it will ban the same for big clips, drums or strips of more than 10 bullets.

Will this ban affect our law enforcement agencies as well?

“So there will be a bill. We’ve been working on it now for a year. We’ve tried to take my bill from 1994 to 2004 and perfect it. We believe we have. We exempt over 900 specific weapons that will not be — fall under the bill, but the purpose of this bill is to get just what Mayor Bloomberg said, weapons of war, off the streets of our city.”

What about schools hiring armed guards?

“Well, is this the way we want America to go?” Feinstein asked. “In other words, the rights of the few overcome the safety of the majority. I don’t think so. I think America is ready. They’re going to have an opportunity with this bill. I’m going to ask and spend my time and create a committee across this nation to support it.”

Feinstein has no problems with her armed security detail. Fucking liberal hypocrite.

‘National conversation’

Other Democrats appearing on various Sunday talks also endorsed gun control as part of a “national conversation” about school safety.

“But gun control is part of it,” Sen. Dick Durbin told “Fox News Sunday.” “We need to sit down and have a quiet, calm reflection on the Second Amendment. Are there guns that really shouldn’t be sold across America? Military assault weapons such as the one involved in this horrific incident in Connecticut?

“Are there high ammunition clips, high capacity ammunition clips that have no value, whatsoever when it comes to sporting and hunting and even self-defense? The person could buy body armor, take that body armor and use it to protect themselves as they kill innocent people.

“Can we have a thoughtful, calm, reflection on these things? And do it in the context of our Second Amendment? I think we need to.”

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D) Commissioned Report on Housing Gitmo Terrorists Inside US Prison

Something is fishy about this. Team Obama has been hell-bent on bring terrorist to US soil and granting them the same Constitutional rights as US citizens. Now we learn Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif) order a report from the Government Accountability Office to look into the possible transfer of these terrorist to a US prison and wanted to keep the report a secret from other members of Congress and the public.

The Democratic chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence committee commissioned a federal report to identify prison facilities in the U.S. that are suitable for housing Guantanamo detainees, concluding the option is viable — despite congressional opposition to such a plan when the Obama administration proposed it.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s renewed interest in the proposal first came to light Wednesday after Fox News turned up an internal Government Accountability Office document that refers to “Source of Work: Ms. Dianne Feinstein, Chair, Select Committee on Intelligence, U.S. Senate” and lists the “Gist of Work” as an investigation into whether domestic facilities could house the approximately 170 detainees remaining at the controversial facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Two hours after Fox News’ inquiry about the report, Feinstein’s office posted the report online and released a statement confirming that the California senator thinks the Obama administration’s controversial plan to relocate detainees to the United States is a viable option.

“This report demonstrates that if the political will exists, we could finally close Guantanamo without imperiling our national security,” Feinstein said. “The GAO report makes clear that numerous prisons exist inside the United States — operated by both the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice—capable of holding the 166 detainees who remain at Guantanamo in an environment that meets the security requirements.”

Past discussion of moving the detainees stateside sparked a firewall of bipartisan opposition in Congress, which passed a measure barring that move.

The internal GAO document reviewed by Fox News noted the president’s executive order of January 2009, in which he promised to close the detention camps there within a year, and it referenced “legal prohibitions” that currently bar the transfer of detainees to the U.S. But the document also stated that Congress has continued to raise questions about whether civilian or military facilities in the United Sates could house the men.

“To address this, GAO is providing information on the current characteristic of the detention facilities at Guantanamo Bay, as well as descriptions of existing DOD (Defense Department), Department of Justice, and Department of Homeland Security correctional and detention facilities,” it says.

The GAO’s report on the facilities, which was completed Nov. 14, included four objectives: an analysis of the current Guantanamo Bay detention camps, examination of the extent Defense Department and civilian facilities could be used, an outline of how the Justice and Homeland Security departments manage individuals who “engage in terrorist-related activities” and an overview of the challenges of housing detainees in the U.S.

Congressional sources tell Fox News that Feinstein, a California Democrat, placed a 30-day hold on the report, which has the effect of limiting access to the report’s findings until its public release. Until that time, sources say, Feinstein can share the findings with whom she chooses. However her office disputed that characterization, saying that it is standard for the GAO to delay public release of one of its reports until after the requestor has reviewed it.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D) Backs Up Petraeus’ Claim That White House Edited CIA Talking Point to Hide Terrorist Attack in Benghazi

So, now what will the lefties cry? Obama and Democrats have been claiming the Benghazi investigation is partisan as a bipartisan panel investigates and calls for answers. The head of the Senate Intelligence committee is Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat, and she has issues with the Obama administration changing CIA talking points to blame a YouTube video instead of terrorism.

The truth is slowly coming out.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Sunday that she has initiated a review of talking points used by U.N. Ambassador SusanRice on the attack on the American diplomatic facility in Libya, with the goal of determining why the public comments appeared to conflict with the initial assessment of U.S. intelligence sources.

Feinstein, chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, defended Rice against what she called the “politicization” of her comments on the battery of Sunday news shows in the wake of the Sept. 11 attack that led to the death of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

But the California senator also said she had “some concern” with the process that produced the unclassified “speaking points” that Rice worked off of, in which she said it was the administration’s preliminary view that the attacks were a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islamic video, rather than a planned terrorist attack.

Feinstein, appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” said that the now-former director of the Central Intelligence Agency,David H. Petraeus, had “very clearly said that it was a terrorist attack” in a meeting with lawmakers the day after the attack in Benghazi.
